BUILD UPON THE ROCK

Starting with a solid foundation

 Preface

When my year and a half year older brother Glade and myself were about seven and eight years old, we would attend the free shows in our little town of Fife Lake, Michigan. All summer long we watched as they played a Tarzan series. Week by week we became more interested in building traps like Tarzan of the jungle was building to capture animals. We had lots of raw material to work with from an old railroad grade where they had dug up the ties and left many of them just laying around on the ground. It was a wooded area with a good number of maple and hardwood trees from which to hang the trap from. We had lots of page wire, barbed wire, hay wire and binder twine string to work with as well.

We were not big enough yet to have lots of farm work to do, so we got busy constructing a big animal trap. It was a real piece of high level engineering for a couple guys our age and it took us a long time to build it. It was about four or five feet wide and about eight feet long. We had cross beams tied in with stakes pointed down toward the bottom side to snag and capture any unsuspecting critter that would trip the wire holding it up. When we got it all finished and ready to deploy, we took pa’s wire stretchers to use as a come along to pull one end up in a tree, with the other end resting upon the ground, we were now ready to do business. We would check it periodically to see if we had caught anything of serious value.

Our cattle pastured in that same area about a mile away from our home. We hoped we wouldn’t catch one of Pa’s cows in it, or worse yet one of the calves. Even though it kept us all charged up and excited about getting up and going to check our trap, It kept us busy and out of other mischief all summer long until the snow fell and the trapping season was over. As soon as the snow melted off in the springtime and we began to pasture that area again, we hustled over to check our trap. To our surprise it had not survived the weight of the winters snow, it lay as flat as a pancake upon the ground.

By this time however we had moved on to bigger and better things and just left it lying there on the ground. I was at my brother Glade’s side at age thirty two years of age as he choked and gurgled out his last breath of life in a VA hospital in Durham, North Carolina, after a botched brain tumor operation in 1961. As the years have gone by I have had occasion to cut firewood in that same area many times where we had built our trap. Although the sorrow and grief of loosing my closest brother has always hurt bad, I walk over in that area and can still see the rotten remnants of our Tarzan animal trap, woven back into the sod and soil there. It brings a big smile upon my face to remember back and in some way make a connection again with a brother that I spent so many hours, days and weeks of enjoying life as a carefree youth.  I know that Glade is at rest in the sleep of death, until the resurrections of God occurs. I know too that we all will be judged according to how we have lived our lives, and it is not a bad thing.

The scriptures tells us…. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. ( Isaiah 26:9 ) In this hope of the judgments of God and His resurrections, I look forward with anxious anticipation to that day and time when I will again be united with my brother Glade along with mother, father, uncles, aunts, friends and all whom I have ever known and more. To forever after live in a sin free, pain free environment to have life exactly like God and Christ have life. May the God of all heaven and earth hasten that day. Amen!

This is my twenty second booklet. When I think I am all out of things to write about. Then as I lay in bed at night, God will suddenly flood my mind with things He must feel I should write about. I feel compelled to get out of bed, come out to my computer and begin writing, before like a vapor it all vanishes and floats away to dissipate into the atmosphere. Often I am amazed when I go back and read what it is that I have just written about. It inspires me and gets me excited all over again to be used by God. It is proof positive to me that God is working with me, because I am not well educated and just not all that smart. This is not to be construed to mean that I think I am a dummy or that I am in love with myself and/or feel all puffed up over the talents that God has given me. Even though I do appreciate the talents that God has given me, I know where they come from and am thankful for them. Still, going beyond that I am revealing to you what God has already revealed to me. Christ tells us that He cannot do anything except what He sees the Father doing, or what the Father has taught Him. Jesus gave them this answer: "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. ( John 5:19 ) "Jesus therefore said, 'When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me,'" ( John 8:28 ) And in like manner Christ tells us this. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. ( John 15:5 )

This makes it all abundantly clear to me, that my spiritual foundation must be built upon the “Rock,” whom is Jesus Christ. Because without Jesus Christ we can do nothing. There is no other name to be called upon for salvation. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” ( Acts 4:12 ) Jesus Christ specifically came to earth not only to seek out the lost, but to also save all of mankind. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10 )

Isn’t it high time we begin to believe all of the many

Scriptures within the pages of our bibles that make this truth crystal clear to a mind that God has opened to be able to receive it? Yet it seems that all minds have not been made open to this truth as Christ tells us in the book of John. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. ( John 16:12 ) Then the Apostle Paul reaffirms it in first Corinthians. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.( 1 Corinthians 3:2 ) I will leave you now with a personal message that I hope you will reflect deeply upon, while allowing God to reach into your mind to impart His truth to you. “Building a spiritual foundation on anything less than Jesus Christ, is doomed to failure before it even starts. Anyone not accepting, believing and understanding the truth, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind, without exception, as well as all of creation, is laboring under the influence of the devil and Satan. This important God revealed knowledge within the pages of the bible is the very first step in understanding all other spiritual knowledge and truth. Failing to understand this keeps one locked into much perpetual darkness within the Babylon of confusion.” May the God of all heaven and earth bless you with an open mind! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

BUILD UPON THE ROCK

Starting with a solid foundation

No matter what it is we are attempting to build, we first must start with a solid foundation if we want it to endure and last. Christ reminds of this in the book of Matthew. (Matthew 7:24) "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. …25 (The rock here being Christ Himself) "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, (notice here it is something that requires us to act upon) will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27"The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-- and great was its fall." Then over in Job we learn as well the problems that can develop from having a weak foundation. (Job 22:16) They were carried off before their time, their foundations washed away by a flood. It becomes very clear here, the importance of where, how and whom it is that we all should be building our foundation upon. Our spiritual foundation in order to be solid and strong and able to withstand the test of time, needs to be built upon the Rock whom is Jesus Christ. Building upon any other foundation will soon be washed away. So states the Word of God whom is Jesus Christ.

The Rock comes to earth

Jesus Christ emptied Himself of all divinity and came to earth to be born of a human mother. To be raised up and face all of the temptations known to all other of mankind, and in so doing not ever sin, even once! To then at the appropriate time schedule appointed before the world began, to begin laying the foundation for His house. He was successful in doing this as His Father God knew that He would be. After all He knows the end from the beginning and everything in between. (Isaiah 46: 9 -10) 9 "Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'; Christ came to earth that through Him we might know His Father and our Father God more intimately by watching, observing and paying attention to the things He was doing, as noted here in (John 5: 19 - 24) 19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. We see here in the next verse, that it is not enough to hear only, we must also believe. 24 “Very truly I tell you; whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

The Twelve-Year-Old Jesus Goes to the Temple

At or about the age of twelve Christ begins to build His house. I enter here a commentary from the internet on the book of Luke.

(Luke 2 - 41-52) IVP New Testament Commentaries, As Luke's infancy overture comes to a close, he makes a transition to John and Jesus' ministry through a single incident from Jesus' adolescence (L. T. Johnson 1991:60). This is the only such incident in the Gospels, though the extra biblical gospels do include such accounts (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 19:1-5). After the host of witnesses to Jesus in Luke 1:5--2: 40, Jesus now speaks for himself for the first time. This is the literary climax of Luke's initial section and shows the sense of mission and self-awareness Jesus possesses. Jesus has a unique relationship to God and a clear sense of his calling, one that transcends his relationship to his earthly parents. That this event, though strictly speaking not an infancy account, belongs in this initial literary division of Luke is indicated by the fact that it takes place in the temple, which is where the section started in Luke 1:5. In addition, the note on Jesus' growth parallels the close of the discussion of John the Baptist in Luke 1:80.The Problem: Jesus Is Missing (2:41-45) The events leading to Jesus' exchange with his parents begin with their annual pilgrimage to Jerusalem. The parents of Jesus were devout Jews. The Old Testament commanded such a trip for three festivals a year (Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles; Ex 23:14-17; 34:22-23; Deut. 16:16).

But by the first century, God-fearing Jews made only one journey a year because of the distances involved (Josephus on Passover--Life 345-54; Antiquities 17.9.3 213-14; Jewish Wars 2.1.3 10-12; 2.14.3 280; Brown 1977:472). The Passover was the major feast celebrated at the beginning of the Jewish year, Nisan 15, which falls in our month of March or April (Fitzmyer 1981:339-40). Only men were required to make the journey, so Mary's presence shows her commitment (Preisker 1964:373). Jerusalem was eighty miles from Nazareth, so the trip would take three days. Though some have argued that women and children traveled separately from the men as a way to explain how Jesus got lost, there is no ancient text that describes this practice. Jesus is twelve years old. If the Mishna is relevant to the first-century Jewish practice, which is likely in this case, then religious instruction would have become more intense for Jesus upon his reaching twelve (m. Niddah 5:6; m. Megilla 4:6; m. `Abot 5:12). The custom of bar mitzvah for a thirteen-year-old Jewish boy was not in place at this time (Fitzmyer 1981:440).

After the seven days of celebration, Jesus' family returns home. The text does not say why his parents fail to make sure that he was present in the caravan. Perhaps, as verse 44 suggests, they assume he is with friends or relatives. In any case, on the first evening of their homeward journey they notice that he is missing. Jesus has stayed behind in Jerusalem, so Joseph and Mary turn back to find him. The Resolution: Jesus Explains His Call (2:46-52) Apparently after one day's journey back to Jerusalem and a day looking for Jesus, it is on the third day that Joseph and Mary discover him at the temple, listening to and asking questions of the teachers. The exact location of the incident within the temple is unstated, but Jesus' discussion with the officials leaves those who listen amazed at his understanding and his answers. At the tender age of twelve, Jesus already shows signs of possessing great wisdom. Clearly Luke wants the reader to develop a sense of respect for this amazing, blessed child. When the parents finally find him, Mary steps forward to address the young Jesus in a way that both parents and children can appreciate. She expresses concern about the anxiety Jesus has caused by remaining at the temple.

The mild parental complaint leads to Jesus' self-declaration of mission. With the reply appears the first of many dei ("it is necessary") statements in Luke (4:43; 9:22; 13:33; 17:25; 19:5; 22:37; 24:7, 26, 44). The key phase in verse 49 is elliptical, making its meaning disputed. The statement reads, "I must be in the . . . of my Father" (the NIV renders this I had to be . . . ). Two views are popular: (1) I must be about my Father's affairs (L. T. Johnson 1991:61); (2) I must be in the house of my Father (Stein 1992:123; NIV). The second view also means that Jesus must be engaged in teaching God's ways, since for Luke the temple is a place where Jesus instructs (20:1--21:4). Greek idiom supports this second view. Jesus' parents--and Luke's readers--need to appreciate that Jesus understood his mission. From the very beginning he is reflecting on the will of God. He starts revealing himself right in the center of Judaism's religious capital. But there is a second key detail. Jesus refers to God as his Father. This alludes to the sense of family relationship and intimacy Jesus has with his heavenly Father (10:21-22). Such closeness to God not only is something Jesus' parents need to appreciate but also is a point the disciples will struggle to grasp (9:59-62; 14:26; Mk 10:29-30). In fact, Luke makes this the first note in a series of revelations that will build the case for who Jesus is. The infancy material stresses Jesus as Messiah, but this text is one of two hints early in Luke's Gospel that he is also much more. Luke reveals Jesus' identity gradually, bringing the reader along in an understanding of who Jesus is. So this first clue comes from Jesus himself. The other major clue comes in the infancy section, where Jesus' divine origin is tied to the Spirit (1:31-35).

Jesus is breaking new ground with his parents here, and they need to understand who he is, just as Luke's readers do. The text makes it clear that at the time they still did not understand what he was saying to them. But Mary treasured (or pondered) all these things in her heart, an appropriate response to Jesus' somewhat enigmatic remarks. Mary does what Luke wants his readers to do as well. It is good to pause and contemplate who Jesus is and the mission he performs. Even two thousand years of history does not do away with the need for such reflection. Obedient to his parents, Jesus goes home with them to Nazareth. While there he grows in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men (Lk 1:80; 2:40). There he awaits God's timing to begin the ministry associated with God's house. In the meantime he shows respect for his parents through his obedience, a model for us in a world where teenage rebellion is all too common. Laying the foundation

We see at the tender age of twelve, Christ was already about doing His Fathers work, from which He could use as a springboard on into adulthood. He was busy at this young age in teaching and building a solid foundation from which the world would be able to understand, recognize and see the Father within Him more intimately, just by watching and observing how Christ was living His life. The world could know the Father by what they were able to see Christ doing, for he could do nothing on his own. John 5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

John 8:28 So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.

John 12:49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.

John 12:50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."

John 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

A foundation built upon sand

We are to worship God in spirit and truth. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4: 24) All physical rituals of the past are relegated to the scrap heap. There is not one single physical thing we can do to make ourselves spiritual.

An excerpt from the website of L. Ray Smith is to follow.

All physical rituals are CARNAL ordinances, and we are no longer under carnal ordinances. We are now under the "Law of the Spirit of Life." "We no longer know Jesus after the FLESH." Jesus HIMSELF said: "The flesh profits NOTHING." "The words that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE." Although it was mighty important in Christ's time to worship in THIS mountain or in THAT mountain, Jesus Himself said that the time would come (and so it has) that we no longer worship here or there or in this manner or in that manner, with this set of physical rituals, or with that set of physical rituals, but rather WE WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. We are to WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH! Now then, does anyone think that we can add to those instructions by adding a few physical, carnal, rituals? I think not. ( end quote )

Why then is mainstream, orthodox, counterfeit Christianity, known as well as “The Babylon of Confusion” continuing to build their foundation on sand? A false and deceptive foundation that will eventually be washed away and destroyed!

What do I mean, a false foundation?

Ever since I learned that God names or calls things exactly what they are, I too, wanting to emulate God and His Christ believe it is my God given duty to do the same. One cannot start from a false premise and build anything of good, true and lasting value from it, or on it. I will give you an example of what I am talking about. My Uncle Wilber told me a story one time that illustrates this perfectly. Uncle Wilber told me of an incident that happened while he was going to a one room country school. He told me about a boy that I knew as well, named Elmer Reed. They were both in the 4th or 5th grade and studying a geography lesson. Elmer came over and asked Uncle Wilber what a certain word was. Uncle Wilber told him it was “cardboard”. It came time for their class to go to the front of the room and sit on a long seat called a recitation bench. The teacher would question them as to how they were learning their lessons, while the rest of the one room was filled with other students looking on and listening. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what the Laplanders ate for food. Elmer shot his hand quickly into the air with a puffed out chest because it was an answer he knew. The teacher called upon Elmer then to tell the class what the Laplanders ate for food. To which Elmer proudly replied, “Cardboard”. Uncle Wilber never told me whether or not he himself had understood the word in question to have been caribou. This example however illustrates what happens naturally when we mix truth with fiction or fail to get our facts and the truth from the proper source. The consequence causes one to be building on a false foundation.

Two kinds of knowledge

There are two kinds of knowledge we need to look at and examine it to see how it stacks up in accordance to the Word of God. There is acquired knowledge, and there is revealed knowledge. Acquired knowledge comes to us by way of trial and error over time in coming to a conclusion as to the actual truthfulness of any given subject matter we wish to explore. Within this manner something will first likely enter into a hypothesis. A Hypothesis is a conjecture put forth as a possible explanation of phenomena or relations, which serves as a basis of argument or experimentation to reach the truth: This idea is only a hypothesis. From here it graduates up to a theory. Theory: an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events: an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is not known or proven to be true: the general principles or ideas that relate to a particular subject. So while neither a hypothesis nor a theory have been proven to be true, more often than not, they are used as such and understood by others to be the truth. This can and does cause great confusion in building upon a false foundation, a foundation of sand that in time will wash away. Revealed knowledge, is that which comes to us straight from the mouth of the Word of God, whom is His Son Jesus Christ. To be safe and secure within our belief and understanding, we must learn to rely on the Word of God, as opposed to getting hung up on hypothesis or theory. While at the same time we must also learn how to rightly divide the word of truth. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ( 2nd Timothy 2:15 )

The people of God deny His truth

On the one hand we have a reported 650,000 different churches, denominations and splinter groups around this world identifying themselves as Christian, and so they are, I do not claim otherwise. All of them preaching and teaching a different gospel ( good news ) than the next one. That includes but is not limited to the Catholic church, and all of her prostitute daughters that came out from her, the Baptist Church, the Pentecostal church, the Methodist church, the LDS. The JV’s and every other church, no matter the name they have given themselves. We can see them for ourselves on the street corners and along the streets of most every city in our nation and around the world. While on the other hand the actual truth waits to be discovered by a deceived Babylon of confusion. I do understand that they all are the people of God. He reminds us of this in the book of Revelation. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18: 4) Nearly every last one of them denying the revealed truth of God as they continue on teaching from their flawed understanding of the truth that Christ is teaching us in His Word. They one and all refuse to believe what God and Christ tell them as the revealed truth of God. You don’t have to believe me, but will you believe Christ? Here is what Christ has to say about that.

(John 3:18 and on) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

(1 John 5: 10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness within himself: He that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

(John 8: 45) And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

(John 16: 9) (NLT) The world’s sin is unbelief in me.

(Hebrews 4:2) We have heard the same Good News that your ancestors heard. But the message didn't help those who heard it in the past because they didn't believe.

Why not put it to the test?

Knowing as I do, that most all of Christianity whom I have become accustomed to referring to as the Babylon of confusion, dig their collective heels in deep in denial that Jesus Christ is actually the Savior of all of mankind and in fact and in truth, all of creation. Believing as they do that Christ will end up saving only a few, unable to save all. Having accepted their beliefs from the table of demons being taught and preached to by the ministers of Satan posing as angels of light. The Apostle speaking out against those of that nature. 12. And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15. It is not surprising, then, if his servants ( ministers ) also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. ( 2nd Corinthians 11: 12 - 15 ) I will present some specific scriptures for your consideration from the inspired word of God. As I then will ask the question, do you believe it? In this way we should be able to recognize and learn exactly where we stand on this issue, of which I speak. We will begin by asking the question, do you believe after we have listed down a scripture.

Christ says we will not believe Him

(God) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)  Do you believe, or will it just be a few of us good ones that are saved?

The Lord is...not willing that ANY should perish. (2 Peter 3:9) If the Lord is not willing that any should perish, it doesn‘t take a wizard to figure this one out… NONE WILL! (2 Peter 3:9) Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (John 10:28-29) Do you believe, or will it just be a few of us good ones that will be saved?

And I, (Christ) if I be lifted up from the earth, (to be crucified) will draw all men unto me.  (John 12:32)Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. ... And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day." (John 6:37, 39) Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [in crucifixion], will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die." (John 12:32–33) Do you believe, or will it just be a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"And he [Christ] is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only [not only for Christians who know the truth now], but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2) Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe" (1 Timothy 4:10). Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he [God] might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him [in Christ]." (Ephesians 1:10) Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him [Christ] to reconcile all things unto himself, by him [Christ], I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." (Colossians 1:20) Do you believe, or will it just be a few of us good ones that will be saved?

Indeed, so thorough will Christ be in his subduing of the universe to the Father and in making peace and harmony among all intelligent creatures, that all creatures capable of expressing their praises to God will do so.

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should ( will ) bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10–11) Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even, when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places IN CHRIST JESUS; that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that [faith] not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:4–8)  Do you believe, or will it be just a few of us good ones that will be saved?

A commentary from the ABC’s of the gospel

It is not our works (even our good works) that have brought us into this glorious relationship with the Father. It is the works of Christ that count in the Father’s eyes that Christ performed as a substitute for us — in our place. This is the basic teaching of the Gospel. It is a teaching that shows Christ doing all the necessary works for us. It was Christ who GOT us saved through his righteous works. Christ pleased the Father in everything that he did. And the Gospel teaches us that all of Christ’s righteous deeds are now credited to us. They have been awarded to our account by God’s grace. More than that, all our sins were placed on the back of Christ and he bore them for us (in our place). We are now reckoned by the Father as being as free of sin as is Christ Jesus. One of the most essential doctrines of the New Testament is this fact that Christ was a substitute for us in all things. He was a substitute for us in his life on earth. He was a substitute for us in his death on the tree of crucifixion. And he is also a substitute for us at the present by sitting on the right hand of the Father until we reach that position ourselves in him at our own resurrection. (End quote)

It is God whom decides whom to call

I could go on and list a hundred more scriptures to substantiate and prove that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all of mankind and will reconcile all things back to God the Father as it is stated here in Colossians chapter one. 19. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, (Christ) 20. and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1: 19 - 20  I feel however it would be an operation of futility to go on any further. Because, I know that someone being taught something against their will, is of the same opinion still! And besides that the Word of God is being plain and clear in explaining another truth. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44) Unless God grabs unto someone by the collar and drags them kicking and screaming into His awesome truth, they simply cannot come to Him. He alone knows the exact and perfect time to call His children to understanding. That is His responsibility and it will happen in His own time and His way. I have been instructed to go preach and teach the good news into all of the world, and by way of the internet and these few booklets I am doing it the best that I know how at this time. It is up to God to do the dragging. Are you my friend beginning to feel a tug?

Hear what the Word has to say

Refusing to believe and to understand that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all men and in truth and in fact all of creation, is just one area of disbelief that I am so far addressing here today. It is however the first and most important truth to understand in my opinion. Failing to understand and to believe this truth, causes one to be building on a false foundation. Not to unlike my Uncle Wilber’s friend Elmer Reed, that thought the Laplanders ate cardboard for a living. Without being corrected in that area, he never could have come to a truthful understanding. His foundation of sand would have crumbled and been washed away. There are many more areas of the Word of God that the Babylon of confusion ( Christianity around this world in which we live ) believe themselves and teach it on to their converts as the truth, but has little or no truth in it whatsoever. I will get to some of those in another writing. For the sake of time and space I want to stick with this issue for now. I am trying to keep my booklets with fewer pages in them, in hopes that they will be easier to read and to digest.

I would like to however, point out another character trait that seems prevalent within the Babylon of confusion. While they one and all refuse to believe the truth of Christ ( as recorded earlier in this piece ) While in denial of the truth of God, they are one and all quick to jump knee deep into custom, ritual and tradition, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.'" (Matthew 15: 9) (NLT) Their worship of me is worthless, because they teach human rules as doctrines.' (Mark 7:7) ( ISV ) 13 And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men, 14 therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; ( Notice below what will happen to the wisdom of the wise men and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden, following instead after the commandments taught by men. ) and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.” (Isaiah 29: 9-15)

Will we blindly follow?

Unless or until they follow after the commandment of God in Revelation 18:4 To come out of ,her my people. ( the Babylon of confusion ) They will never be able to understand the awesome and wonderful truth for the future that God has planned for all of His people, which is all people whom have ever lived, or will ever live. Now lets consider again the revealed knowledge that I talked about earlier. We find within the pages of our bibles the revealed knowledge of God. We have to accept the fact that the Word of God has been inspired by God, in other words, it is God breathed. If we really want and desire to know the truth of God, we don’t go outside the bible looking for truth, do we? NO we do not! We can and should study outside the bible to be informed in all areas of life. But if it cannot be found and substantiated within the pages of our bibles, it has not come to us by the Word of God. In which case we need to do as the Bereans were about doing in the 17th chapter of the book of Acts. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. ( They didn’t blindly accept everything Paul was teaching to be the truth ) 12 Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.… (Acts 17: 11 - 12 ) They kept a check up on the Apostle Paul, to make certain he was teaching them the truth. We need to be doing likewise. But are we?

Custom, ritual and tradition

Come along with me as we put this checking up on the Babylon of confusion teaching, to see if there are any flaws in their attempt at teaching the truth and the Word of God to all of mankind. Is it truth? Is it fiction? Is it a fable? Is it of pagan origin? Is it from (Satan) the god of this world? Is it an outright lie? We’ll try and find that out now as we turn first to the word Christmas in the bible. But we have a problem here. (Oh you didn’t know that the word Christmas never even once can be found within the pages of your own bible?)

I don’t know about you, but this looks like a big red flag to me. If it cannot one time be found within the pages of our bibles, what are we doing celebrating it as a commandment from God? Is this what God is talking about when He tells us here in Mark chapter seven? Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. ( Mark 7: 7 - 9 ) Then on down in verse 13... Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. So the Babylon of confusion holds tight to its customs, rituals and traditions, while turning their collective backs upon the Word of the Lord. The Babylon of confusion begin reminding us each year in November and December, to put Christ back into Christmas. It turns out that God never expected or commanded Christ to be there in the first place. It is a sham, a hoax perpetrated by a deceived counterfeit Christianity. (The Babylon of confusion)

How we use the name of God matters

If anyone is wondering where in the world we came up with this celebration and a name to attach to it, the first dead give away might be in the name itself. Christ-Mass, does that sound a little familiar as if we have heard it all somewhere before? It has Catholic terminology written all over it. But wait a minute! Isn’t it all for the benefit and joy of all the little children, what is so wrong about that? I am glad that question was asked, I will attempt to explain the reason why it is wrong for you, for me and for everyone claiming to be following the teaching of Jesus Christ. It is hard to know where to start because there is so much about it that does great harm to all of mankind made in the likeness and image of God.

While we should be learning the truth of God, should be developing a love of the truth of God, instead we cling to custom, ritual and tradition, and steer clear of the truth. Making up our own days and seasons to worship and to celebrate. I believe it may be the specific reason why so many from the Babylon of confusion (most all of them) have been sent strong delusion from God, that they should believe a lie. 10. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2nd Thessalonians 2: 10 - 11) If God sends strong delusion that one should believe a lie, guess what? They are all going to believe a lie. I would like for us to consider here the first egregious abomination that God has to endure, as He takes note that the Babylon of confusion has taken the name of His Son Christ, the One He has given all power and authority in heaven and upon the earth to, (Matthew 28:18) and attached it to one of the rankest ever of pagan orgies and celebrations. A pagan festival that celebrated by burning their own little children alive, to their sun god Saturn, known also as Baal or by other names as well. A festive forerunner occasion called Saturnalia that later had the name of Christ attached to it make it appear to be a commandment from God. (More about this to follow ).

God commands us not to use His name in vain.

“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (NIV) (Exodus 20:7) The NIV translates it as, "Do no misuse the name of the LORD." But most Bibles say, ‘Do not use the name of the LORD in vain.’ The word vain is the Hebrew word shav. It has a variety of translations including emptiness, vanity, falsehood, nothingness, emptiness of speech, lying, and worthlessness. To misuse God's name means literally, "to lift it up to or attach it to emptiness." No one is to use the Lord's name in this manner. Yet without regard to this number three clear commandment of God, the Babylon of confusion in a word thumbed their collective nose at God and attached the name of His Son to emptiness, to vanity, to worthlessness, to nothingness. Long before Christ came to earth as flesh and blood like all the rest of us, the pagans were of an agriculture society. The sun had great significance to them, without its heat there would be no crops from which to survive. Therefore the sun was their god that needed appeasement and coaxing in their minds, to come back the following year in the spring, to heat the ground for a good planting season and later a good fall harvest that they all might survive. They perceived the greatest offering to their god was to be their little children. To be burned alive in sacrifice to him. It was a week-long orgy around the 25th of December called Saturnalia where all law and order was suspended. Drunkenness, rape and murder and all sorts of deviltry occurred in this atmosphere of anarchy as it grew to a climax where a cast iron God with outstretched hands was heated up to red hot, as the priests placed the child alive in its arms. Drums were beaten on loudly to drown out the anguished cries and blood curdling screams of the little children being burned to death alive. That the fathers could not hear their screams. After the name Christ-Mass or Christmas has been added to it, now the Babylon of confusion claims it as their own. It was their attempt to draw pagans into Christianity, but instead Christians begin taking on the custom, ritual and traditions of the pagans.

Does God have anything to say about this?

We can see here in Jeremiah that God does address the pagan practice that His people Israel had fallen into. "And they built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, (to be burned to death alive to appease their god, Molech or Saturn as portrayed by some). Which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin," (Jeremiah 32:35) Notice here as well, these are Gods own people. A question being asked here in a commentary. God said that such a thing "never even entered His mind" (Jer. 32:35). How could God say such a thing to Israel , if He has plans to burn alive a good majority of His own creation in a spiritual and eternal Gehenna of His own making? (End quote) This is a good question, the simple and accurate truth is God is not going to literally burn anyone up, let alone the majority as the Babylon of confusion, continue to teach their deceived converts. Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind and in fact all of creation, without exception. Our God is a consuming fire according to Hebrews 12:29.

The bible is written in symbolism, metaphors and parables, to hide the meaning, so the masses will not understand it. God is not a literal fire, but He will in time symbolically burn up and destroy all of our unrighteousness, identified in scripture as wood, hay and stubble. ( 1 Corinthians 3:12 - 13 ) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire ( symbolic fire ) shall try every man's work of what sort it is. Then verse fifteen tells us what actually happens to the individual. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. It is the fire of God that saves my friends, not the Christian taught hoax that destroys or sends most to hell. All of that hocus pocus nonsense has been perpetrated by the Babylon of confusion.

Let’s shine a bright light on Christmas

We can move on now and examine in the bright light of the truth, what is wrong with the Christ-Mass being taught, accepted and believed by Christians ( also known as the Babylon of confusion ) around the world. We can laugh, poke fun at and ridicule the American Indians for their cultural, spiritual and so called religious beliefs, practices and differences, such as their totem poles, their medicine men, their happy hunting ground and the likes. But let’s consider for a moment what we the Christ-Mass crowd of believers are involved in, in teaching your own children about our God. I say your in this case, because I have eliminated all of that anti God, worthless and empty junk from my life over forty years ago now.

But supposing you are still wading in the knee deep muck and mire of custom, ritual and tradition, getting all wrapped up in the teaching, accepting and believing in the doctrines of men as opposed to the commandments of God. Here are some of the things you are teaching your family, your children and those around you that you interact with. You are first of all teaching your innocent little children that it is alright to lie. Because they sooner or later will find you out, and when they do, do not bother to try and teach them the truth of God, because they already know you have been lying to them.

If you haven’t taught them anything, but let them believe the Santa Clause lie, you are still lying to them by omission. It is our job to teach our children the truth of God. Here is what the children of a counterfeit Christianity have been brought up to accept and to believe. On the evening of the 24th of December a big fat man in a red suit will land his sleigh pulled by eight flying deer on your roof top. They stand there pawing on the roof top while the big three hundred pound fat man with a big bag of toys on his back will slither down a six inch chimney. Then after leaving the place scattered with toys he slithers back up the six inch chimney. (Never mind the fact that he is defying all laws of gravity, logic and common sense).

Of course he has to do this all around the world at warp speed with his flying deer, carrying enough presents in a sled about the size of a washtub to hand out free to billions of recipients, within a few short hours, without ever getting his red suit dirty. ( imagine if you will, going in and out of billions of six inch chimneys without ever collecting any soot on his clothing ). Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings at a single bound, he would put superman to shame. This makes him to be omnipresent (he is everywhere at once) and capable of withstanding speeds in excess of the speed of light at 186,000 miles per second.

Being everywhere at once, he now has effectively become a replacement for God Almighty. He sees you while you are sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, he knows when you’ve bad or good, and he brings you toys. Now he has also become omniscient, he knows all things. Aren’t we proud of ourselves? You have done your job well in deceiving your own little children. Yet we have the gall to laugh at the customs, rituals, traditions and spiritual beliefs of the American Indian.

Consider this

I do not want to appear to be unduly picking on the Catholic people. I have a lot of Catholic neighbors in my neighborhood that are decent folks and a great asset to our community, they make our area a better place in which to live. I do understand and know well, they are all the people of God. With that being said, I want to shine a light on what was happening around Christ-Mass this year that made the national news. The present Pope is a popular religious symbol that carries a lot of weight and influence upon world opinion. He is doing things that other Popes would never have done. This year to high light and show his folksy down to earth nature, the national news played and replayed a segment showing the Pope carrying a plastic doll around, as representing the baby Jesus.

This is one more indicator of where our minds are being led to believe the Christ-Mass lie. We are supposed to get all spine tingly and have that fuzzy feeling of what a wonderful thing it is to see the Pope carrying around a plastic doll representing baby Jesus. As long as we keep our minds on the helpless baby Jesus that needs to be carried around, that cannot walk, that cannot move, that cannot speak, that is dependent upon others. Before we come to a conclusion as to how we think and feel about this, consider first these words that God has left recorded for us in the book of Jeremiah 10. 2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. (Is this the Christmas tree?) Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. (Jeremiah 10: 2- 5)

Concentrating on baby Jesus

When all of our attention is being diverted away from the omnipotent, the omniscient, the omnipresent, the immutable Jesus Christ whom has been given all power and authority in heaven and earth. (Matthew 28:18) The One that created everything in existence, without him nothing was made that has been made. 1. In the beginning was the Word, (Jesus Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He was with God in the beginning. 3. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1: 1 - 3) I wonder how Christ felt this year seeing an image supposedly of Himself being carried around by the pope as a helpless little plastic baby doll. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: (Exodus 20:4) Would He have considered it to be an idol, or would He have just laughed it off, supposing, “its just the kids down there having fun with their custom, ritual and tradition?”

I think we are all going to have to stand before the judgment seat of God and give an account for all of our earthly actions. We cannot dump it off on others by claiming, “but this is how we were taught”. The scripture is being made available to us all. But take heart my friends the judgments of God are not a fearful thing as we may have been taught, the judgments of our God is a good thing. All night long I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek for God. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right! (Isaiah 26:  ) (NLT)

Pay backs following Christmas

Corporate Christmas parties coupled together with individual partying, along with overindulgence in spending in excess to please the self, drunkenness and debauchery of every nature rears its ugly head in millions of family homes and lives as they compete for their own share of the Santa Clause dream learned well in their childhood. Charging things they cannot afford to be reckoned with the following year, and in many cases years to come. Not all that much different than our ancestors involved in celebrating the Saturnalia festivals of days and years gone by. Believing as most do, that they have earned it, they have it coming to themselves and come hell or high water, they are going to have it.

Because of the rise of sexual and many other sins during this time of year, many homes, marriages and life styles have crumpled and fallen apart because of a pagan festival named Saturnalia. After having the name Christ attached to it, now turning it into a Christ-Mass celebration called Christmas. All of this caused as well by the carnal nature of man, and his/her proclivity to sin. Because of broken families caused by this specific time of the year, many little children begin their new life of having one parent living in their home to guide and direct them into adulthood.

While boyfriends or girlfriends of the parents move in and out at random, subjecting the children to misuse of every nature. From the sexual abuse that runs rampant these days in one parent homes, to a diminished lifestyle that often means lack of proper food and clothing, self-esteem shot into the toilet because children always feel responsible for divorce and separation. Along with a lesser education and other activities caused by having to live now on one person’s income. Their chance of being reared up with a balanced mind and approach to life, has effectively been diminished. Leaving many if not most crippled beyond complete repair. It may never be noticed on the surface, but I have personally seen it in the eyes of many. I would like to have you read the following that I copied here from the internet.

The iniquity of Christmas

Webdev Author 14 Dec 2011:  It seems to be a contradiction in terms that Christmas, a time of joy and rejoicing in the birth of our Saviour, should be said to be laden with an iniquity, a great wickedness. But statistics of disasters, death toll, crime rates and moral decadence recorded around the Christmas festive season would show that Christmas is laden not with one iniquity only but with many iniquities. While a few people focus on and reflect on the significance of Christ’s coming into this fallen world to save us from sin, many people actually sin more on Christmas.

They indulge in the works of the flesh which are enumerated in Galatians 5:19-21 as adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like. If truth be told indulgence in these works of the flesh or iniquities reach its climax during the Christmas festive seasons more than in any other time of the year. Instead of seeing more and more people responding to Christ’s love by turning from darkness into light and from worldliness into godliness and from wickedness into righteousness at Christmas time, we witness more and more people becoming servants and casualties of Satan’s onslaught. Is it any wonder therefore that Christmas time is followed by a disease called ‘January disease?’

But why does the devil attack and use many people at Christmas time with much success more than in any other time of the year? The reasons could be many but the chief one is that many people are caught off guard. We regard Christmas as a time of ceasefire, a time to go on holiday from all work, and a time to rest. Christmas time presents us with many opportunities to sin and to fail in our walk of holiness. Favorable factors for our laxity and complacence during Christmas include increase in disposable income because of bonus, long holiday, the frenzied excitement of mixing and re-uniting with friends and relatives, the dire need to save up money for the general increase in the cost of living beginning in every January. It is these many opportunities to sin during Christmas time that cause me to pin point lasciviousness as the chief iniquity of Christmas, all other works of the flesh or sins are just effects of this prominent and pre-eminent iniquity.

A word to the wise is sufficient

Lasciviousness means lacking moral restraint. This word can be used interchangeably with licentiousness; a term which suggests having a license to do as you like. Though the words lasciviousness and licentiousness are associated with uncontrolled sexual desires, we can generalize them to mean just lacking moral restraint. This is the greatest iniquity of Christmas because many people behave like they have just entered a world without God or law and every one begins to do what is pleasing to his or her eyes.

This time of the year people indulge in unlawful and unprotected acts. It is crucially important to restrain one’s self during the festive season or you will be infected with physical and spiritual diseases that will manifest in the course of the following year. Ralph Waldo Emerson said that we think our fate is alien all because the copula or connection is hidden but the soul contains the evil that will befall it. In other words we should understand that the way we end one year determines the way we will begin the following year. And there is a close connection between our indulgence of the body and the bodily suffering with sickness.

We should learn to be moderate and to be sober and to be vigilant at Christmas time if we are to keep our bodies and souls from the filthiness of the body and of the spirit. Avoidance of evil and doubtful things is the best way of escape from the great wickedness associated with Christmas. Staying healthy is better than to be healed. Lasciviousness, the main door that gives us entry into all other works of the flesh, is a great iniquity which should be fought ruthlessly. But you cannot overcome it merely by an act of will. Apostle Paul tried to overcome sin by an act of will alone and he was frustrated (see Romans 7). You need the control of the Spirit of God. Discernment of what is evil and what is good is your shield of protection. Spending more time in prayer, reading the Word and fellowshipping with other believers is not only a safety measure but also a necessary preparation for a successful and prosperous new year. (End quote)

While I whole heartedly agree with this persons assessment, I would like to add four character traits to it here, that has always inflicted the carnal nature of mankind, that we all have to deal with on a regular daily basis. The god of this world ( Satan ) knows well that mankind from his conception has been injected with a heavy dose of envy, jealousy, lust and greed. Being privy to that truth, he knows how to play us all like a cheap fiddle. If we would examine ourselves within this light, we would be able to more often than not, be able to discern the reason for all of our faults, sins and shortcomings. Understanding this in itself is not enough, we must then begin to learn how to effectively deal with them and remove them the best that we can from the God like character we are in the process of building. In doing so we will find we meet up with the same thing that the Apostle Paul talks about in the book of Romans chapter 7.... 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. (Roman 7: 15 - 20)

Building a rock solid house

Building our house on the Rock ( Jesus Christ ) requires that we go past hypotheses and theory. we need to develop the proclivity to rightly divide the Word of God. We, in my opinion need to study and read widely and be informed about what is happening around us, within our world. Put a check on our spiritual sources as the Bereans did during the time of the Apostle Paul. Make certain as is possible that it lines up with and is being substantiated by the Word of God. I realize that most whom read what is being written here will poo poo, deny, and will not believe or accept it as the truth.

Why should I reckon otherwise, Christ came in person and told His people the truth face to face and instead of accepting and believing Him, they killed Him for it. Here it is now two thousand years later and they still do not believe Him. Do we in fact kill Him all over again through disbelief? They do give lip service to Him while all along denying His Word. The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. (Isaiah 29:13) It cannot be made any more clear than this. How very true this is, the whole entire religious system, the one and all of the Babylon of confusion continue on making up their own rules to be taught as the truth of God but are only of rules taught by men. My intentions at the beginning of this piece was to stick with the exposing Christ-Mass for what it really is. Thinking I have now probably said enough for the time being, I would like to move on to an equally egregious celebration to God, of another season that has attached the name of His Son Jesus Christ to it, that also reflects rank paganism to its core.

What does egg laying rabbits have to do with Christ?

Absolutely nothing at all, but again it has the Babylon of confusion celebrating Easter around the world as a most holy Christian affair. After Satan had influenced the pagans along with what might be considered to be well meaning, however deceived men and women behind the scenes that were instrumental in working it into the teachings of Christianity. It is one more effective way to hide the greatness, power, truth and authority of Jesus Christ right out in the open for all to see and take part in. A celebration not to unlike Christ-Mass, where sincere people by the millions suppose they are following the word and the way of God.

Where well-meaning folks of all walks of life get themselves and their impressionable little children all dressed up in their Easter bonnets, white gloves and high heels for the women, wearing their finest clothing to go to church and listen to a minister. (however not one of the ministers of the real God of all heaven and earth) To hear him expound upon a word that cannot one time be found within any up to date bible he is thumping on at the podium. It is true that in the KJV it does just this once in the whole and complete bible say this. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. (Acts12:4)

An obvious mistranslation to most. But what difference does it make even if it is not a mistranslation as some will argue? It doesn’t allow or authorize all of the hocus pocus attached to it such as bunny rabbits laying eggs, and hiding them for our innocent little impressionable children to find and stand in awe of. If you actually believe that, stop by my place some day and I will find you some real rabbit eggs to watch you eat. They are not multi colored, they are little compacted rabbit dung balls about the size of M&M’s, I’ll get you all you can eat. ( it is a prime example of Satan applying his knowledge of envy, jealously, lust and greed in the minds of our precious little innocent children ). From the website of The Restored Church of God comes this commentary.

Now let’s go to the other scriptures authorizing Easter. ( other than Acts 12:4 ) This presents a problem. There are none! There are absolutely no verses, anywhere in the Bible, that authorize or endorse the keeping of Easter celebration! The Bible says nothing about Lent, eggs and egg hunts, baskets of candy, etc., although it does mention hot cross buns and sunrise services as abominations, which God condemns.

Where Did Easter Come From?

Does the following sound familiar?—Spring is in the air! Flowers and bunnies decorate the home. Father helps the children paint beautiful designs on eggs dyed in various colors. These eggs, which will later be hidden and searched for, are placed into lovely, seasonal baskets. The wonderful aroma of the hot cross buns mother is baking in the oven waft through the house. Forty days of abstaining from special foods will finally end the next day. The whole family picks out their Sunday best to wear to the next morning’s sunrise worship service to celebrate the savior’s resurrection and the renewal of life. Everyone looks forward to a succulent ham with all the trimmings. It will be a thrilling day. After all, it is one of the most important religious holidays of the year… Easter, right? No!

This is a description of an ancient Babylonian family—2,000 years before Christ—honoring the resurrection of their god, Tammuz, who was brought back from the underworld by his mother/wife, Ishtar (after whom the festival was named). As Ishtar was actually pronounced “Easter” in most Semitic dialects, it could be said that the event portrayed here is, in a sense, Easter. Of course, the occasion could easily have been a Phrygian family honoring Attis and Cybele, or perhaps a Phoenician family worshipping Adonis and Astarte. Also fitting the description well would be a heretic Israelite family honoring the Canaanite Baal and Ashtoreth. Or this depiction could just as easily represent any number of other immoral, pagan fertility celebrations of death and resurrection—including the modern Easter celebration as it has come to us through the Anglo-Saxon fertility rites of the goddess Eostre or Ostara. These are all the same festivals, separated only by time and culture.

by David C. Pack ( end quote )

I will move to greener pastures

There is an endless amount of information on the internet and in encyclopedias as well. Either for or against Easter being a Christian God authorized observance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and a celebration as exists around the world today. But supposing we have developed a somewhat intimate connection between ourselves and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by reading, studying and by what we have been able to understand and discern by how Christ whom patterns Himself after His Father God, operates. Should we not be able to come to a reasonable conclusion that God whom claims to be the same yesterday, today and forever, says that He changes not.

A God that tells us not to learn the way of the heathen, not to follow after the ways of this world, to come out from among them. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, ( 2nd Corinthians 6:17 ) I have done that many years ago. I pulled stakes and left the only church I ever belonged to. I had attended their services religiously for over thirty years. I had learned much truth and had even been used in teaching it to others within the congregation. But at the end they begin to water down everything as they begin to move toward mainstream. I polled most all in attendance to question them on what exactly they believed. Most all of them had been there longer than myself, yet many could not tell me what they believed about things they had been taught for over thirty years. I had come to understand and to believe according to the Word of God that Jesus Christ was the Savior of all mankind. Their heels were all dug in solid as one lady doctor that I loved dearly asked me, “Cunningham, what is the matter with your mind?” I soon left and found truth I had never dreamed of on the internet.

Coming out of Babylon is not easy

It was something rather difficult and different to experience. I had built loving relationships and a rapport with many kind and enjoyable folks to be around. I love and miss them all yet today. I first had to come to the understanding that a church of brick and mortar to attend wasn’t a necessity. In fact it could cause a diversion to lead one right back into that which they were coming out of. The church being a part of one’s empirical self could easily become ones god, while the real God was being put on the back burner.

I realized that God and Christ are spirit and that we were required to worship God in spirit and in truth. A quote from the website of L. Ray Smith: That all physical rituals are CARNAL ordinances, and we are no longer under carnal ordinances. We are now under the "Law of the Spirit of Life." "We no longer know Jesus after the FLESH." Jesus HIMSELF said: "The flesh profits NOTHING." "The words that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE." We are to WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH! Now then, does anyone think that we can add to those instructions by adding a few physical, carnal, rituals? I think not. (End quote).

Still (coming out of Babylon) has been a struggle that I was prepared to follow through on and it has brought me to a place where God is able to use me as I submit to His leadership. May your own heart be lightened by this!

A closing thought

The recent news telling of Pope Francis excommunicating and punishing pedophile priests, if there is to be any follow through, is a welcome difference in the Catholic mode of operation. They have traditionally been shuttled from one parish to another where they soon had free reign again to apply their stock in trade. This has brought to mind something I failed to mention back in my earlier segment about Christ-Mass and the evils thereof. It needs to be brought up here for families with little children to be aware of and to protect their little children against it, that of pedophillia. Pedophilia is not by any means confined to the Catholic Church nor her prostitute daughters. But consider if you will the following.

Our nation abounds with rank pedophilia from sea to shining sea and from Canada to Mexico. We would be surprised if we could really know the number. While many mothers and fathers probably do not want to know, do not want to hear about it, they should, in order to be able to protect their little children against it. We all know without having to be told, unless we have been living in a bubble. The direction that our society continues sliding in as it progresses further down into the gutter of depravity. Black has turned white and white has turned into black, the lines have been blurred between the two. What was taboo a few short years ago, is now becoming totally acceptable. Not only becoming acceptable but as well, being encouraged and flaunted. We live in an, “In your face society”. Recently for example, a professional black athlete announced to the world that he was queer. (I use the terminology I was raised up to understand. Gay! Was a word that described something uplifting, pleasant, fun and enjoyable, by no means something we understand as practicing homosexuals?) Anyhow! President Obama hearing the news quickly reached for his phone and called to congratulate this black athlete for having the courage to come crawling out of the closet. I Rest my case!

But it doesn’t stop here

It is the tip of the iceberg, now that homosexuality has become mainstream, where we find more and more queers on the streets and on TV, flaunting their right to perversion, with their ever increasing, “In your face attitude” A practice that God rightly so calls an abomination. You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." (NASB) (Leviticus 18:22) As well as many other scriptures denouncing the practice. It has come to a point now, where an individual unless they accept with open arms and open mind that homosexuality is just fine now in our present liberal society, that God no longer cares or condemns it at all. Then it is us whom believe according to the word of God that it is an abomination as God does, that are thought to be off base and out of touch with reality. If this present mind set continues to prevail in our nation and around the world, how long will it be before pedophilia will also become, mainstream?

It has in my opinion, already reached epidemic in proportion and in comparison to homosexuality. I am leading up to just one more problem I failed to mention earlier in discussing the Christ-Mass festive celebrations. It could very well be called, “The Pedophiles Lottery”. Just think about it for a moment, it would be as if they had just died and were on their way to heaven. What could possibly be more exciting to a pedophile than to have parents themselves bring their little children in to sit on your lap, fondling and pawing over them while they were crying and screaming bloody murder, in fear and anguish reaching out their little arms to be rescued by father or mother, but to no avail? What better time of the year for the perverted pedophile to rush on down to the department stores, the private parties, or where ever else the opportunity existed. Dusting off their red suits and hiring out as jolly old Santa Clause. I am not suggesting that everyone whom plays as Santa Clause is a perverted pedophile, but be fore warned. As explained earlier the world is filled with such as them. It is better to have your little children safe than to be sorry later.

The truth will set you free

With all of this being said, there is a silver lining in knowing and understanding the truth of God. No matter how much we might like to believe that all pedophiles, homosexuals, rapists, murders, child molesters, liars, cheats, fornicators, adulators, pimps, prostitutes and whoremongers, male and female slave traders and all of what we consider to be the dregs of society would end up being annihilated finally by God, destroyed and done away with altogether or thrown into the raging flames of hell to be tortured and tormented day and night forever, without one second of relief. It ain’t gonna happen!

We can never be good enough to save ourselves, nor bad enough that Jesus Christ will not. 9. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10. nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11. And that is what some of you were. (did you notice that, that is what some of us were?).But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 11) The plan of God from before the world began, has always been to save all of mankind, to eventually wash everyone clean. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. (Titus 1:2) And not just save all of mankind, but we are all to be made just like He now is, Immortal, Spirit. To have life as God and Christ have life. (Genesis 1:26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. God loves all of us unconditionally, He hates the sin within us that we do, but loves us still unconditionally.

We are all to be like them in every single way. It is not going to be a walk in the park for those whom have lived a life of grunge and filth without repentance, those whom have grossly misused His children and His creation. The length of time an individual will be required to be tossed into the symbolic lake of fire to destroy all unrighteousness, will depend upon their level of un-repented sin needing to be dealt with. Jesus Christ paid the entire cost for all sin for all time. Everyone (the good, bad and the ugly) eventually will be brought up to enjoy God and Christ level life. To be immortal, spirit as They are. It is the fire of God that saves mankind by burning up his works, not destroying his life. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:15)

Deciding to build our house upon the Rock

Once we decide to build our house upon the Rock ( Jesus Christ ) we cannot turn back and long for the good old days that caused us all the pain and strife that we had to endure in pleasing the flesh. Lots wife made this costly mistake in the book of Genesis. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) Here is another way in the book of Luke that Christ clears it up even more. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. (Luke 9:62) I hope I have fulfilled my God given assignment here in a way that is acceptable to our God and my Savior Jesus Christ. I hope as well, that it may have helped you to a more clear understanding of Universal Salvation: That Jesus Christ in fact and in truth, really is as the Word of God so clearly illustrates, the Savior of all men. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)

A spiritual building not having the Rock that is Jesus Christ as its foundation, has been built in vain and will crumble and fall. Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; ( Psalm 127 ) It is an impossibility attempting to build a spiritual house while denying that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind, without exception. Those attempting to do so worship God in vain, because they are teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:9 and Mark 7:7) Failing to teach the truth of God is lying by omission. May the God of all heaven and earth richly bless you with an open mind. Amen.
