-Christians- so called, that worship Satan-

By Leith Lyman Cunningham

Let me define what it means to me when I talk about Christians, so called, Satan worshippers. If a person or persons who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, then they would also claim to be Christians, right? So far so good! Now then as Christians they would be involved in following the teachings of the Word, which is Jesus Christ, right? Now the question comes up about how they have arrived at their understanding that causes them to suppose and to believe they are following the actual truth of God, right? What is it at this point that we would want to look at and examine in ourselves, to determine whether we are following after God or following after something or someone else?

-Here’s the kicker-

Suppose we are following after that which everyone else is following after that has been preached and taught around the world as the truth of God. Or, suppose we are following after that which our parents have taught us as the truth of God. Or, suppose we are following after that which our ministers or churches have taught us as the truth of God. Or, suppose we don’t even know what, why or who we are following after, we have just sort of found ourselves sitting in the front row of some church that has a lot of friendly people in it to fellowship with. Or suppose we just believe whatever it is, that is coming out of the mouths of those up front at the podium, those doing the speaking. We accept without question that they know what they are teaching and talking about. Within all of the above listed down being our truth source, we most likely and probably are, following after Satan as opposed to God. In that case, we have ceased to be followers of Jesus Christ, we have become Satan worshipers. We cannot be both, it has to be One or the other. And in this case, we have chosen the other one, Satan.

-How can that be?

If we have arrived at our godly understanding, having only that which other human beings have told us is the truth, without any diligent study of the Word of God on our own, we most likely are again, like a frog sitting in a pan of warm water over the burner turned down real low. We are in our comfort zone, it feels so good, as the poor old froggy remains right in the pan until he boils to death. He had the opportunity to jump out at any time, but because of the comfort he felt along the way, he elected to stay put, instead of jumping out before it was too late. In that same way, when we as professing Christians fail to do as the Bereans did, in searching the scriptures daily to see if what Paul and Silas were teaching, was really the truth. Being led along by the ministers of Satan that have masqueraded themselves as angels of light, and like sheep to the slaughter we follow along without a whimper.

-Then what is the solution to be?

We need to take in all of the spiritual truth that we can, no matter the source. There are any number of dedicated individuals that we can glean wisdom and understanding from that cross our paths in our walk with God. But it all needs to be double checked by the Word of God to reveal its authenticity, because opinion often supersedes truth and common sense, and we all have our strong opinions. Another good source is now available on the internet for all that have become computer or smart phone literate. Still, it has to be checked against the Word of God. This present-day explosion of truth and information on the internet is causing a great spiritual awakening to take place around us. I believe God may have brought this phenomenon into existence at this exact time to help His people come to the understanding of His truth. The time may be short, before He has to intervene into the world affairs. This could be a word to the wise. Something to think about!

-Here Is what I would suggest-

We are giving Satan a helping hand in our worship to, and of him, when we accept and believe any and all spiritual substance that cannot be proven in the word of God, no matter where it comes from. Here is what the Word instructs us to do when we are faced with a question of which god, to pay our attention and our honor and worship too. Chose you this day, whom you will follow. This is not some new sort of concept, it has been around since the beginning of time. Notice here below; how Elijah had to deal with the prophets of Baal and his followers; during their time of unbelief, in whom the real Almighty God was. That type of unbelief exists even stronger and is more prevalent than it was back then. It is a subtle thing that goes unnoticed because so many professing Christians around the world have accepted and believe it to be true, coming from the teaching of a false gospel.

-All sheep have gone astray-

But because everyone else is doing it; they all follow along in complacent and ignorant lock step, with all the other deceived flock. Reminding me of a good analogy. A person one day asked another person a question. If you had 20 sheep in a pen, and one got out, how many sheep would be left in the pen? Mathematically there would be 19 sheep left in the pen. But knowing and understanding the characteristics of sheep to just be followers after the the other ones, there wouldn't be any sheep left in the pen. I believe that may be why God has likened us all to sheep, and a proof of that is to watch how that is happening around the world in the Babylon of confusion, otherwise known too as counterfeit Christianity. Following the pathway of the least resistance, one right after another in accepting and believing that which is untrue. An ongoing operation of futility, always seeking but never finding the real, awesome, wonderful and necessary truth of God. Notice the biblical experience that below, that Elijah used to point out the One and only God of all heaven and earth.

                                            - Elijah’s Mount Carmel Victory- 1 Kings 18:20-39

20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel. 21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. 23 Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.24 Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.”

So, all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”

25 Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.

26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.

27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. 29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.

30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So, all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”[a32 Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four water pots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” 34 Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. 35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.

36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”

-If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything-

A lot has been written about Satan. The subject by no stretch of our imaginations, has been settled. It could be said that the jury is still out on the matter. Not everyone will agree with my assessment of what the Word of God tells us about Satan through the pages of our bibles. He has been referred to as a figment of our imaginations. Many do not believe that he exists at all. Others have a variety of conclusions they have drawn from their own individual studies of the scriptures that talk about him. Here is where it becomes a cloudy area in attempting to fix him in our own understanding that we have arrived at over the course of time. While someone else through study and time, have him fixed in their own understanding, as they have come to believe to be true.

My good friend, a dedicated, on fire and serious seeker and searcher for the truth of God as opposed to following along in a fog, assuming that our so-called Christian churches are doing their job as they preach and teach us their so-called truth, which is nothing more than parroting the same thing that all of their predecessors, passed on to them as the truth of God down through the years. What we have ended up with is a stack of misinformation, outright lies sprinkled with a dab of truth, along with a never-ending wagon load of horse manure deception, from the devil and Satan. My good friend recently challenged me on my thinking and reasoning, about how I had arrived at the conclusion that the devil and Satan is actually a spirit being that has the ability, power and authority to influence mankind in a negative way, as opposed to being a part of our own selves, our carnal, flesh nature, not Satan as a created being, being responsible.

-I went right to work on it-

I have listed down below, how it is that I continue to accept as the truth of God, that Satan is the god of this world within the context of how I use it in my writings.

Matthew 4: 8-9: Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

How could it be His (Jesus) carnal or flesh mind leading Him up a high mountain, speaking with him, and also agreeing to give him those things he rightly had to give, without first having them given to him by someone else? The someone else being the only one with the power and authority to do so, Jesus Christ, who claimed to have all power and authority that had been given to Him by His Father God. And if that be so, and it is, what purpose did Christ have in giving Satan limited authority over the minds and hearts of all us human beings, including Christ as a human being? While Christ had received a whole and complete measure of the Holy Spirit of God, in order to withstand the influence of Satan, but the rest of us have not. But in this exchange, I see Satan as a real being.

Here we can see whom the god, ruler of minds, influence to do evil, having (God ordained, limited) authority over all of the earth, or the evil one really is. Christ was well aware that, that authority had all been given to Satan. He knew for certain that Satan had been given possession of all of what he had pointed out to give, because it had been established beforehand, within the plan of God. God needed for mankind to know both good and evil. Just to know good wasn’t enough. If only Christ would bow down and worship him, Satan had the authority and right to give Christ all that he had pointed out. Which was ownership of area and the control and influence over the mind and actions of mankind, throughout all of the earth.

10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”

We learn also, that the Bible speaks of several "gods", none of whom are the true God

A god (idol) is anything (a being, a concept) who is worshiped and obeyed instead of the one true God.

In this sense, your god could be your money, the television, the Internet - anything you count to be more important than God.

"This world" is largely anti-God. We are more concerned with earthly pleasures than we are in God and what He wants from us, and for us.

When we disobey God, we are obeying and following Satan, wittingly or unwittingly. We are, in effect, worshiping him. There should be no question at all about this.

When God tells us not to learn the way of the heathen or nations around us, not to have idols of the heart, not to worship other gods, do not use the name of your God in vain, do not profane the name of God, and to come out of this Babylon of confusion we see in (Revelation 18:4) that has manifested itself within the Christian churches around the globe, then speaking in a plain and simple fashion, we have become followers of Satan and not of God. We in effect have become Satan worshipers. We have profaned the name of God by plastering the name of His Son Jesus Christ’ all over the anti-God, pagan holiday Saturnalia, changed now to Christ-mass or Christmas, and celebrating it in much the same way the pagans of antiquity had been celebrating it for many, many years.

With much pride, we (So-called Christians) make a big production out of the season, as we learn to party down hard to keep up with our devil worshiping neighbors. It makes me sick to my stomach when I stop and realize, how much we have thumbed our collective noses at God and Jesus Christ during this filth ridden time and season, made to seem happy, bright and cheerful, while sucking the life’s blood right out of the people of God. (spending the next year trying to pay off their Christ-mass debt) How very fortunate we all are; of His great patients, His never-ending willingness and desire to forgive us all of such blatant sin.

That being exercised by mankind since his first breath of life, till death. Satan, the evil one, that we are bowing down too, when we turn our backs on God, is however, pleased beyond measure. We make him a happy camper, and maybe rightly so, after all that is the exact job title that he received from our Almighty God. He was created and put in that place as an adversary to mankind. He is just doing the assigned task that God has given him to do.

This phrase 'The evil one' is repeated again in Matthew and used several times in 1 John.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. (Matthew 13:19)

I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. (1 John 2:13; also, see 1 John 3:12).

At times, we have seen how the evil one or Satan has himself confronted God's people. Usually he uses his demon assistants, but in important cases he himself encounters man such as David, Job, Jesus, Peter, Judas and Ananias.

Then Satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel. (1 Chronicles 21:1)

Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nothing?" (Job 1:9)

Then Jesus said to him, "Begone, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'" (Matthew 4:10)

But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." (Matthew 16:23)

And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. (Luke 22:3)

But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back some of the price of the land?" (Acts 5:3)

We need deliverance from his powerful presence. Without deliverance, we will fall. Peter stood because Jesus prayed for him. We are not saying that Satan 'entered' everyone like Judas, but we do see that he is crafty and would lead us astray if possible. No wonder Jesus wants us to pray to be protected from the pernicious one.

Whenever you see yourself lying or willing to hurt others to gain your own way, you must see that you are under the influence of the evil one. What is worse, you cannot escape by yourself. You are trapped. The more you give into his ways, the more you share his evil ways. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can rescue you from the devil's grasp.

Is it possible that this is just a force? No. Death is not natural. Satan murdered from the beginning and thus brought man under his power by death. If death were natural, people would not cry about it. We know there is something wrong with it.

Satan is a very real and extremely powerful being. He is not a made-up character or a humorous myth. We must take Satan and his activities seriously. He makes his impact felt on earth by inciting us to carry out our sinful desires. Satan spends all of his time trying to harm us. As a result, we must contend with him every day. His name means ‘adversary’ or ‘enemy’. He’s our foe—not our friend. The Bible also calls Satan the ‘evil one’ and the ‘devil.’ Satan’s character is completely wicked. His evil influence affects the entire world, which he controls (1 John 5:19). 19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. (Satan)

We know that we are of God.’ Where did John get that form of expression, which crops up over and over again in his letter? He got it where he got most of his terminology, from the lips of the Master. For, if you remember, our Lord Himself speaks more than once of men being ‘of God.’ As, for instance, when He says, ‘He that is of God heareth God’s words. Ye therefore hear them not because ye are not of God.’ And then He goes on to give the primary idea that is conveyed in the phrase when He says, in strong contrast to that expression, ‘Ye are of your father, and the lusts of your father ye will do. “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

He is called the devil because he is constantly slandering and accusing people who obey God (Revelation 12:9-10). Satan never rests from his evil ways. Satan’s Evil Name and Nature. “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.” Zechariah 3:1 “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning….” “…The whole world is under the control of the evil one.” 1 John 5:19 “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth…. For the accuser of our brothers, (Satan) who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. Revelation 12:19

One life that Satan attempted to destroy was Job’s life. Satan caused Job to lose his family, servants, and property. He also afflicted Job with painful sores over his entire body (Job 1:12-19; 2:6-7). Many of us who are suffering today have been afflicted by Satan, just as Job was afflicted by him. Satan seeks to harm us. Satan’s Desires for Suffering and Destruction “So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.” Job 2:7 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning….” John 8:44 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy….” John 10:10 “To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.” 2 Corinthians 12:7 “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour….” 1 Peter 5:8. I have even heard Satan mentioned as the third needed dimension in teaching and causing us to have the necessary experience to eventual immortal, spirit life.

Because without the education of learning “Good and Bad’, we would never come to a point to be like God and His Son Jesus Christ. And that has always been the purpose and plan of God from before the world began. We are all to become immortal, spirit beings, as God and Christ are, to have life as They both have life everlasting. This is more or less the position I take on who, what, and why I believe and accept as the truth of God, that Satan is a real identifiable, created by God as an evil being, that eventually will experience immortal, spirit life himself. After having did the job that Christ had created him for. It is what the Word tells us , especially so, in Colossians and Corinthians.

(Colossians 1: 15-20) 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, (as in Satan) whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; (as in Satan) all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, (Which include the devil and Satan along with all of the demons) whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1: 20

(1 Corinthians 15: 22- 28) For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (The exact same all that die will all be made alive) 23 But each in their own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. (after death, has been destroyed, the only thing left is life) 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Notice: (Not all in a few, not all in some, not all in many, but all in all of mankind, and in fact all of creation)

-Why is Satan called “the god of this age”?

In the Bible Satan is called “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4) and “the prince of this world” (John 12:31; 16:11), Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. Which begs the question: In what sense is Satan a god and a prince?

First, Satan is not God’s equal. Rather, according to Scripture, Satan is a finite, created being.

(Colossians 1:16). He was the first sinner (1 John 3:8; Revelation 12:7–9) and will one day be cast into the lake of burning sulfur for all eternity (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10; cf. 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6). Thus, Christians need not fear the god of this age, for “the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

Furthermore, Satan, whose name means “adversary,” is the god of this age in that he is the supreme exemplar of evil. In the words of Jesus, “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

Indeed, all the sin of the world is patterned after Satan: “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning” (1 John 3:8). It is he “who leads the whole world astray” (Revelation 12:9).

Finally, Satan is the de facto ruler of all who willingly subject themselves to his masterful deceit (2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:3). If we do not belong to the God of the ages, then we are of Satan—the god of this age. And by the same token, worshipers of Satan.

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Of judgment - That God is just, and will execute judgment. This is proved by what he immediately states. The prince of this world - Satan. See the notes at John 12:31. The death of Christ was a judgment or a condemnation of Satan. In this struggle, Jesus gained the victory and subdued the great enemy of man. This proves that God will execute judgment or justice on all his foes. If he vanquished his great enemy who had so long triumphed in this world, he will subdue all others in due time. All sinners in like manner may expect to be condemned. (judged) Of this great truth, Jesus says the Holy Spirit will convince men. God showed himself to be just in subduing his great enemy. He showed that he was resolved to vanquish his foes, and that all his enemies in like manner must be subdued.

This is deeply felt by the convicted sinner. He knows that he is guilty. He learns that God is just. He fears that he will condemn (judge) him, and trembles in the apprehension of approaching condemnation (Judgement). From this state of alarm there is no refuge but to flee to Him who subdued the great enemy of man, and who is able to deliver him from the vengeance due to his sins. Convinced, then, of the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and of his ability and willingness to save him, he flees to his cross, and seeks in him a refuge from the coming storm of wrath.

In these verses, we have a condensed and most striking view of the work of the Holy Spirit. These three things comprise the whole of his agency in the conversion of sinful men; and in the accomplishment of this work he still awakens, convinces, and renews. He attends the preaching of the gospel, and blesses the means of grace, and manifests his power in revivals of religion. He thus imparts to man the blessings purchased by the death of Jesus, carries forward and extends the same plan of mercy, and will yet apply it to all the kingdoms and tribes of men. Have we ever felt his power, and been brought by his influence to mourn over our sins, and seek the mercy of a dying Savior?

Jesus referred to him (Satan) as “the ruler of this world” (John 12:31), and Paul calls him “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2) and “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4). John makes a further distinction when he says: “We know that we are of God, and the whole world is in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19). These references leave us with the question: In what sense, does Satan “rule” the world?

The Bible frequently uses “the world” or “this world” to refer to the present evil system of opposition to God. (This could more properly be identified as the counterfeit Christian churches that teach for doctrine, the commandments of men) So, the Bible never teaches that Satan actually rules over the entire world, but that he is ruler over the current system of sinful opposition to God. In other words, he’s leading the rebellion against God.

-Satan’s Limited Authority-

The book of Job gives further insight into the limited nature of Satan’s power. Satan came before God with other heavenly beings (Job 1:6), and God asked him where he had been (1:7). Satan tells him, and God asks if he knows about his servant, Job (1:8). Satan challenges God, saying he’s put a hedge around him and blessed him, and he asks God to take away the hedge, threatening that if he did, Job would curse God to his face (1:10-11). God removes the hedge of blessing around Job’s life, but restricts Satan’s activity.

It is clear from this that Satan could do only what God had given him permission to do, and nothing more. Job was certainly a believer, but there is no reason to think that Satan somehow has unrestricted authority over unbelievers. This Scripture tells us the reason that Satan has any authority at all, is because God allows it to be so.

-All the Kingdoms of the World and Their Authority-

Back to your question: If Jesus had bowed his knee to him, could Satan really have given “all the kingdoms of the world and their glory” (Matthew 4:8) to him? If we take what we’ve learned so far, we can reframe the situation a bit. The kingdoms of the world are made up of people and systems in rebellion against God.

Satan was essentially tempting Jesus to join his rebellion against God, and in essence, to transfer his worship to him as well. When one is accustomed to, and taught by their religious authority, to go contrary to the Word of God, while accepting all sorts of anti-God, Satan inspired and encouraged activity, they do then transfer their worship of God, unto the devil and Satan, whom both are the same.

How would Jesus do this tempting of Jesus? By choosing to bypass God’s plan for him to humble himself, die on the cross for our sins, rise to new life, and receive the kingdom of God from his Father (Ephesians 2:5-10). Instead of bowing to God, and being obedient to him, Jesus could bow to Satan, avoid the pain and suffering of the cross, and immediately become king of Satan’s rogue kingdom.

Why the Son of God Took on Flesh and Blood?

Yes, Satan could have given this kingdom to Jesus. But the very reason that the Son of God took on flesh and blood was “that through death he might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:14). When Jesus died on the cross, he took away our sins, satisfying the demands of God’s law, and he triumphed over Satan, disarming the power that he holds over people–the power of death, because sin leads to death (Colossians 2:13-15).

Instead of joining his rebellion, Jesus now waits for the final judgment and the decisive victory over Satan to be accomplished, when he will be “thrown into the lake of fire” and “tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10), and his kingdom and authority will be taken away from Satan and given back to King Jesus, its rightful Author and Owner. Amen.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

For understanding on this scripture above, click on the website of the late L. Ray Smith, and Google up his well-written piece on the lake of fire, part one. One thing you will notice about the above scripture, it talks about being tormented day and night forever and ever. Just how long is that? I know how long forever is, but then adding ever in there again, what happens then? Does time spent in the counterfeit Christian hell myth, double every time we add another EVER? The point being that we have to examine this scripture a little closer, and that is exactly what the late L. Ray Smith does in his writings.

“This is what the LORD says––Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.” Isaiah 44:6. I can see and understand these words of being the absolute truth of God. The key is in the spelling, God the Father is Almighty, He is the supreme and ultimate power, authority and the head of everything in existence. No power will ever equal the power and authority of God the Father. He has already determined the end from the beginning. Satan is the god of this world just as he has been placed in that position by Jesus Christ.

As pointed out earlier, Satan is now and always will be subservient to Christ, that holds him in absolute and total check. He can go only so far as Christ will allow. That not only applies to Satan, it applies as well to all of the angels and demons which were created and put in their positions of servitude to God and Jesus Christ. Until the appropriate time-table that God has chosen, when we (the elect of God) will judge them according as it has been written down and preserved in the word of God.

Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

And let Satan stand at his right hand. Should not like come to like? Should not the father of lies stand near his children? Who is a better right hand friend for an adversary of the righteous than the great adversary himself? The curse is an awful one, but it is most natural that it should come to pass: those who serve Satan may expect to have his company, his assistance, his temptations, and at last his doom. (end quote)

I look upon the last line of the above quote, as needing to be qualified to fit within my understanding and belief. It states at the end, about the doom of Satan. I think that as a created being designed and created by God for a specific work, that Satan will be in good stead with God and Christ, throughout all eternity. How could it be otherwise, would God create a being to do a certain thing he had been designed to do, then after he had accomplished all that he had been designed for, then send him to his eternal doom? Well yes! He would do exactly that, according to a willingly deceived counterfeit Christian church and their gullible ministers, operating on information being received from the god of this world. But to our God and Father, and His Son Jesus Christ it is not even in Their mind or thought process to do such a thing. Such things as these are being firmly planted within the minds and hearts of the Babylon of confusion, masquerading as angels of light. Notice here below in,

2nd Corinthians 11: 13 – 15 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.

I learned a lesson a long time ago about accepting and believing something simply because someone, an individual who claims to have understanding and authority, tells it as the truth of God. Every single one of us are prone to make mistakes within our thinking and reasoning things out. Or in how we understand certain scripture. We can all point to the bible, and say, “there it is, right there”. I am of the mind of the Bereans, that searched the scriptures daily to see if Paul and Silas were really in fact, telling them the truth. It is great folly to accept and to believe something just because a self-proclaimed authority teaches it as the truth of God. I include myself in the equation as well.

Paul said at 1 Thessalonians 5:21 "Prove all things" (King James Version). The Greek word for "prove" there is dokimazete (dokimazete) from dokimazw (dokimazo) and it means to prove, to test. But what you have not been told is that it also means to approve, to approve after trial, to judge worthy. God does not want you just to prove all things, He also wants you to approve of all things as well. And that is different, because now the responsibility is upon you not just to prove what you believe, but also to approve of what you believe. I believe this is as it should be, and I try to follow after that practice. Since I cannot according to the Word, prove that Satan is just a carnal, or of the flesh nature within us, and not a real being at all. Nor can I accept and believe it and also approve of it. Therefore, the only course of action open and available to me as a follower of Jesus Christ, is to reject it and file it away under hocus pocus religion, at least at this time.

For instance, if you are in a church that teaches Hell fire and eternal suffering, in your heart, you have to approve of that. If you belong to a church that teaches eternal death for some, in your heart, you have to approve of that. What sort of a heart could approve of Hell fire and eternal suffering? What sort of a heart could approve of eternal death for some? The doctrine of Universal Salvation teaches that all will have eternal life, including Satan and the demons. And that one day, all will have the same nature as God. What sort of a heart could not approve of Universal Salvation, eternal life for all? You see, God is the Ultimate and Universal Salvation is the Ultimate. Whatever you do, do not expect anything less than the Ultimate from God. No one should be up-set at me for passing this truth-full information onto them or others. It is all good news my friends. Scripture is not of a private interpretation.

2nd peter 1:19-21 We also have the message of the prophets, which has been confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to this message, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever brought about through human initiative, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. We need to remind ourselves as we go along having decided to teach others the truth of God, that we are being judged by a higher standard now. James 3:1-2 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to control his whole body.…In the grand finally of things to come, we will all stand-alone before Christ to give an account of ourselves.

Satan is a killer, a liar, a murderer, the truth is not in him, he roams the world to seek out whom he may devour, waste and destroy, he cannot do it any other way than God created him as a waster to destroy, and set him in motion to do it. He is not a phantom of the mind, a make-believe adversary, or a figment of our imaginations, he is the real thing. God has given him great power over mankind; still he can go only so far as God will allow. Christ has given us protection against Satan as well. When he decides to attack one of Gods people, all we have to do is to command him in the name of Christ to get lost and leave us alone, and he has no option to do otherwise. It’s as if Christ had done the commanding Himself. And in fact as He lives within His people, that is exactly what is happening, the command is coming straight out of Christ that lives within us, and Satan knows it.

Read here in Job the havoc and devastation that Satan thrust upon the family of Job. God gave him power of life and death, Satan got his orders from God and followed them precisely, he wasn’t allowed to kill Job. Check it out here in Job 1:18-19 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's houseAnd, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Ask yourself this question. Do you think Job, a righteous man and recognized so by God Himself, saw this as a figment of his imagination? Or did he understand it to be the reality of an all-out attack on himself and all that he owned and held dear to himself, by the devil and Satan?

 -Lessons of life-

I learned a lesson a long time ago about accepting and believing something simply because someone, an individual who claims to have understanding and authority, tells it as the truth of God. Every single one of us are prone to make mistakes within our thinking and reasoning things out. Or in how we understand certain scripture. We can all point to the bible, and say, “there it is, right there”. I am of the mind of the Bereans, that searched the scriptures daily to see if Paul and Silas were really in fact, telling them the truth. It is great folly to accept and to believe something just because a self-proclaimed authority teaches it as the truth of God.

We that claim to be followers of the Word which is Jesus Christ, must guard against every wind of doctrine that comes to us in any means, regardless of supposed credentials of those whom would become our teachers. The Scripture suggests that God be true but every man be a liar, and why should we doubt that, because Satan is a powerful adversary, that seeks to devour, no matter whether he is a figment of our imaginations, or any other definition we would like to use to identify him. He is an actual source of extreme power, authority, and craftiness, that needs to be reckoned with. I know that to be true because we hear it from God. We should not become complacent or turned aside from our staying on guard as we are being admonished by our Father God and Jesus Christ to be doing.

I am reminded of WW11, in the war against Germany that can teach us a good lesson along these lines. When the war was coming to a close and they began liberating the Nazi German death camps, they were shocked to find the thousands upon thousands of nearly starved to death and beaten down like animal prisoners, that the Germans were in the process of working and starving them all to death as fast as they could, and with that on their minds. Working them in their forced labor factories, building and making war material to be used against our nation and our soldiers there on the ground.

-My brother, uncles and cousins were in this war-

Worked to death, with no decent food, clothing or decent housing, emaciated, skin stretched over bone, with eyes sunken back in their heads, with that thousand-yard stare of hopelessness on their pitiful, forlorn faces, attempting to keep standing so as not to be beaten again. General Eisenhower, took note of it all and ordered immediately for military photographers to accompany those units that were liberating the prisoners of war. Eisenhower; knew well the carnal mind of men and nations. That God be true, but all men be liars. He gave the command to take thousands upon thousands of pictures of proof. He has been quoted as saying,

“Sooner or later some son-of-a bitch is going to claim it never happened”.

General Eisenhower wanted to be in some of the pictures his soldiers were taking in liberated concentration camps. Here, he is at Ohrdruf with other high-ranking U.S. Army officers. They are witnessing a view of bodies of prisoners on the 12th of April, 1945. Online via the U.S. National Archives.

WARNING:  SOME OF THE LINKS IN THIS CHAPTER, PARTICULARLY THE VIDEO CLIPS, DEPICT GRAPHIC IMAGES OF WAR AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.  PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

THE CLIPS ARE PROVIDED AS PRIMARY-SOURCE EVIDENCE OF NAZI ATROCITIES DURING WORLD WAR II.  PLEASE PREVIEW ALL VIDEOS BEFORE ALLOWING CHILDREN TO SEE THEM.  SOME ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AT ALL.

-The pictures didn't come through-

At the end of World War II, General Eisenhower made a decision to personally visit as many Nazi concentration camps as he could. His reason? He wanted to document the camps and their appalling conditions.

Anticipating a time when Nazi atrocities might be denied, General Eisenhower also ordered the filming and photographing of camps as they were liberated.  Members of the U.S. Army Signal Corps recorded approximately 80,000 feet of moving film, together with still photographs.

Within months after the war in Europe, about 6,000 feet of that film footage was excerpted to create a one-hour documentary called "Nazi Concentration Camp".  Prosecutors used the film, which is graphically gruesome, to prove that Nazi leaders, on trial at Nuremberg, had perpetrated unbelievably heinous crimes against humanity.

Thomas Dodd, one of the U.S. prosecutors, introduced the film into evidence on the 29th of November, 1945.  When the lights came up, after the trial film was screened, people had a new understanding of what the words "concentration camp" really meant.

Eisenhower wanted to be in as many pictures as possible to prove the death camps really existed. He was sometimes accompanied by Generals Bradley and Patton (such as their visit to the Ohrdruf concentration camp on April 12, 1945).

It didn't take long for Eisenhower's concerns to materialize. Despite his presence in many photographs, Holocaust deniers persist to this day.

The U.S. National Archives contain a great deal of evidence regarding World War II.  What do those archives reveal about the Holocaust.

-My ambassadorship under Christ, is to prove all things-

Paul said at 1 Thessalonians 5:21 "Prove all things" (King James Version). The Greek word for "prove" there is dokimazete (dokimazete) from dokimazw (dokimazo) and it means to prove, to test.

What would you think if it happened to you? This whole concept of the realm of Satan, his existence, how exactly does he figure into the plan of God, and what is his make-up, is still open for a more complete and in depth study. I have read how Elwin Roach digs into this question, and I must say, that he has some very interesting teachings on the subject, that one should consider, and my mind will stay open on the matter. But after experiencing a horrifying attack by Satan first hand, upon myself several times. It’s gonna be a cold day in hell, before anyone can convince me that Satan and his demons are not real.

-Where will Satan end up in the scheme of things?

If I had to make an educated guess about it, based on relevant scripture, I would not hesitate to make a prediction of the matter at hand. It doesn’t make any sense that Satan would be judged or condemned one iota more than the mankind he has deceived. Doing the job, he has done and was created to do on helping man/woman understand well, what evil is, along with the good he knows to do from God, that will eventually qualify all of mankind, as well as all of creation to be reconciled back to God. That is perfectly and exactly what the Word of God tells us about in Colossians and first Corinthians that I have listed down a few pages back. All of man / woman kind to become joint heirs with Jesus Christ. To have immortal, spirit life as God and Christ have life. A deceived Christianity fails to believe or to accept as truth and fact what Christ tells us as the truth. Many scriptures verify this to be true.

-Do not write Satan off, just yet-

There is a reason that the Word tells us not to rail against Satan. We simply for one thing, do not know or understand the plan and purpose of God well enough to know the end from the beginning as God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ do. In order to make any claims against Satan that we think we know, or to rail against Satan, then we best make certain that our own house is in order. I personally believe according to scripture as I see it. Satan (a part of all things) has a future that will be aligned within the specifications laid down by God and Christ at the appropriate time, to again as the scriptures declare, be reconciled back to God the Father, where He will become all in all, as all the rest of creation. To deny it makes God out to be a liar. That in no way suggests that I am not aware of the awesome power of Satan to do his dirty work on others as well as myself, because I really am aware. To me Satan is real!

-Let me tell you why-

Over a half century ago, Satan paid a visit to me one night that almost made me “soil my garment” in other words, piss my pants. He struck me with a red hot and at the same time icy cold fear that defies description. I know what fear is, as a machine gunner on the front-line battlefields of Korea, I experienced some of the utmost, horrifying, mind bending and earth shaking fear that is possible to hear, feel and see and stay in your right mind. A visit from Satan was worse. Our kids were sick this one evening and one child was sleeping with me and the other one was sleeping with Nancy. I had not gone to sleep yet and was wide awake and aware of what was going on around me. Suddenly a strange sensation came over me, that caused the hair on the back of my neck and head feel as if was standing straight out. Absolute fear as I had never known before or since, was scaring me half to death, because one of the kids was in bed with me, and I didn’t have any plan at all to put into effect.

-I was being held in limbo-

The feeling even got worse as I had my back turned away from where the ghastly, supernatural feeling was coming from. I didn't know what to do, as I was trying to come up with a plan of action. The edge of the bed suddenly began to settle down slowly and methodically as if being carefully sit upon. I decided to take action by mustering all of my strength and resolve, to face this unidentified source, in full attack mode, with all of my strength and energy, I attempted to turn and attack at the same time.

-It is something you don’t want to experience-

I couldn’t as much as move a muscle. A greater fear than ever, had overcome me at that time. I was now in extreme panic mode, as I tried again and again just to move, but couldn’t. I had become paralyzed from head to toe as the panic increased to an almost unbearable degree. I began to wonder and worry about what was now happening and what was going to happen next. Suddenly, the edge of the bed slowly began to rise as if someone was getting up off of it. I felt the force begin to diminish now, as if it was moving away from my body zone, and leaving the area. The hair on the back of my head and neck also began to calm down. With the adrenaline rushing now, I made another attempt at getting up. I was easily able to do so. I had rushed into where my wife and other child were sleeping and woke Nancy up and explained things to her. We searched the house and surrounding area with great pains, but found no evidence of any kind. We didn't sleep very well after that for several days.

-Truth of fiction-

I will guarantee any one whom is in denial of Satan, the demons, or evil spirits being real, if you really doubt their existence, I mean if you really, really do doubt that they have been given power by God and are active in using it. Try praying and asking God if He will send His servant Satan, his demons, or any of his evil spirits over to your place, to give you a little example, a wake up call, of that which I speak of here. Then if you do and God complies to your request and sends His servant Satan over to your place to run you through the evil spirit mill. Pouring on you an extra batch of boils, taking everything you own and have worked hard for, where you set in a pile of ashes in your sack-cloth robe, trying to scrape the pus out of those boils, while being in great sadness and grief after losing all of your children in death and attending all of the funerals caused by the wrath of Satan. Then getting religious understanding and advice from your close friends, explaining how you are the cause of your own problem to yourself, then take a few minutes to pause and to reflect upon what it is that just happened to you. It may become more clear as to whether it was a figment of your imagination, or has the Satan question suddenly become a lot more clear to you now? Some times it may require a little attitude adjustment, to have an appetite and taste of reality to understand the truth of God.

-The memory is vivid still-

We even went on the next day and searched the whole house over high and low for evidence of some person or physical thing that made any sense. We had to conclude without any reservations at all, it was a super-natural, visit of some sort. It was years later after having a couple more like episodes of this nature, I realized it was Satan himself or one of his lesser demons. I had, had a spiritual awakening later on, and had learned about the spirit, demon and satanic spirits. By that time, I had become a firm believer. They really caused me a great fear of being alone, and then being attacked. By that time, I had learned that Christ had all power and control of Satan and his demons. All one needed to do if and when attacked, is to command them in the name of Jesus Christ, to get away from you and leave you alone.

-Satan is real, but God is in control-

The last time I was attacked by those super-natural spirits, I was sleeping in my sleeper truck, way out in the boon-docks, in the middle of the night in a rain storm, when he or they suddenly appeared again, out of the blue. They had no choice at all but to do as I had ordered them to do in the name of Christ, to get away from me and leave me alone. I rolled over and went back to sleep, being forever thankful and grateful to God and His truth for delivering me from the real, not imagined hand of Satan. I haven’t been attacked by those evil forces for many years now. I know how to deal with them! Thanks, be to my Father God and His Son Jesus Christ. I am committed now to helping more of Your people come to the understanding of your awesome and magnificent truth of salvation for all. As well as to understand the truth as opposed to,being driven about by every wind of doctrine.

-Just supposing-

I need also to add a note here that could shed more light on the attack on me by the devil, Satan or his horde of evil spirits that he leads for that purpose. The Satanic attack was such a shock to my system, it stayed on my mind most every day and night, wondering why and for what possible reason had it occurred. I wasn't involved in any great evil to attract him to me, as far as I could figure out at the time. I finally did arrive at a possible reason, however, no matter how far it may be from reality. Not long before this satanic encounter., I had gone out and bought two used bunk beds for the kids. Since these attacks were for the most part, coming at me while sleeping in one of those beds, I began to wonder about a possible connection. Supposing something so bad, so cruel, so beastly, and in such anti-God proportions. That a curse may have come right on in and entered our home in that way, through one or both of those beds. To add a certain amount of credibility to that theory, when I got rid of both of them, My Satanic, demon and evil spirit attacks stopped cold.

-A little more to consider here-

During WW11, my brother Teddy was in the U.S. Army. It was along about the summer of 1942 or 43, Just before he was to,leave to go into combat with the 101st Airborne Division that ended up during the battle of the bulge. He had just gotten married to his sweetheart wife, Florence. They spent a lot of time at our home during his last few days at home. Both himself, their friends and Florence had become deeply involved in playing with the weegee board, and calling up spirits of the supposed dead. I would sit around and watch as they would conduct their hocus pocus rituals by sitting around our library table, with all hands flat down on the table and ask questions that would be answered by the table being lifted up and dropped hard one time meaning yes, and being lifted up and dropped hard twice meaning no. I didn't believe any of it and watched closely, as all of their hands were flat down on the surface of the table which weighed about 150 pounds. I was only about 10 or 11 years old at the time. The table moved up and down responding to the questions being asked.

-When I decided to do my own scientific test-

One day when I was home alone and everybody else had gone away, I decided to put it to the test. I did a double check to make certain I was the only one in the house. I wasn't scarred at all because it was day time and I had seen it done many, many times before, and never anything to fear. I put both hands flat on the 150 pound table and asked it a yes or no question. I still to this day have a hard time believing it; but it picked itself up, and distinctly dropped itself back down hard once or twice, to answer the question I had asked it to answer. I remember as if it was yesterday, how fast I left and got as far away from the house that I could until others came home. So consequently, I do not have any need to consult any other source or religious wizard outside of the senses that God has given me. to know for sure, without any question at all, that Satan, his demons and all evil spirits do exist and are constantly doing their dirty work of casting their spell of deception on all of mankind.

-Learning the right in dividing the Word-

I don't care about how much is being written by other religious psycho babblers in their high powered positions of self acclaimed biblical scholars to the contrary, no matter how much slight of hand, hard to understand hocus pocus that they expound upon, showing us the way to make square pegs hammer themselves into round holes, telling us that there is no real identity of an entity called Satan. The entity titled Satan, the demons, the evil spirits or the devil, are all more or less a figment of our imaginations. As much as I have read and appreciated the writings of these individuals in the past, unless or until God shows me otherwise, these teachers of gross misunderstanding on this certain subject, that lead my brothers and sisters away from God, they have in fact, done away with Satan called the god of this world, that God calls an adversary to mankind. As my beginning title states it. Have they become; -Christians, so called, Satan worshipers-

On three different occasions in the temptation account, the Bible records the answers of Jesus to Satan. Obviously, He was speaking to someone. Five different times we find Jesus using personal pronouns when responding to the Devil. There is nothing in the temptation account that causes us to think it is mythological, or that Satan is merely a symbol of evil or our carnal, flesh nature.

-Consider the internet piece I copied below-

Elsewhere, the Bible uses personal pronouns when describing Satan. This points unmistakably to a person. For example, the Lord spoke directly to Satan, and called him, "you."

And the Lord said unto Satan, have you considered My servant Job? (Job 1:8).

By speaking directly to Satan, and calling him "you," it shows that he is a real person. Satan is also referred to with the pronouns "himself" and "you" in Job 2:2, as well as "you" in Zechariah 3:2. All of uses are indications of personality.

-Personal Characteristics-

Furthermore, personal characteristics are attributed to the Devil.

Ability to Organize

The fact that he can organize his forces shows that he has personality.

And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, in order to gather them for battle; they are as numerous as the sands of the sea (Revelation 20:7,8).

Knowledge

When he is thrown down to the earth during the Great Tribulation period, the Bible says the Devil knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12). The fact that he has this knowledge reveals he is a personal being.

Intelligence

Satan is able to form plans, use cunning, and deceive people.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity that is toward Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3).

All these are characteristics of person hood.

He Can Reason

The fact that Satan quoted Scripture to the Lord Jesus during the temptation, shows that he is a personal being. He was able to reason with Jesus by quoting an obscure verse of Scripture out of context.

He Has Choice

Satan has the power of choice. In the beginning, he chose to rebel against God, and he has been making that same choice ever since. Choice is an obvious sign of personality.

Satan Has Emotions

The Bible speaks of the Devil showing emotions. He has shown the emotion of hatred for the things of God. The Devil also has shown desire. Jesus said.

Simon, Simon, behold, Satan desired to have you, that he might sift you as wheat (Luke 22:31).

He has also displayed pride.

not a novice, lest being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the Devil (1 Timothy 3:6).

Among the emotions, he shows is burning anger.

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the Devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time (Revelation 12:12).

All of these emotions are examples of one who has personality.

Personal Actions

There are also personal actions attributed to the Devil.

Able to Tempt

The Bible calls Satan the tempter.

Then Jesus was led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil (Matthew 4:1).

He attempted to cause Jesus to sin, but he failed in the task. He is, however, able to tempt people to sin. To be able to tempt shows intelligence and design - both qualities of personality.

He Accuses

He is able to accuse God's people.

And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ: for the accuser of the believers is cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night (Revelation 12:10).

This is a trait only a person has. The Old Testament also records accusations made by Satan.

And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary (Zechariah 3:1).

As Joshua, the high priest was a real person, so is Satan, his adversary.

Fight

Satan is said to fight against God. His struggle is organized - another trait of personality.

And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war (Revelation 12:7).

Communicate

During the temptation of Jesus, Satan communicated to Him through the power of speech. In the Book of Job, Satan is also shown as talking to God.

Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land (Job 1:9,10).

Speech is only possible if Satan is a real personality.

Be Punished

The fact that the Devil will eventually be punished for his sins shows that he is more than a mere force or idea.

And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and sulfur, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

I have pointed out the position that L Ray Smith expounds on this scripture.

You can only punish someone who is real. It is impossible to punish an idea or an abstraction.

Authority of Scripture

Therefore, the existence of a personal Devil is tied to the issue of the authority of Scripture. If Scripture is accepted for what it claims to be - God's inspired Word, the final authority on all matters of faith and practice - then the existence of a personal Devil is beyond all doubt. However, if one rejects, for whatever reason, the authority of Scripture with respect to the Devil, then it is a short step to reject other important doctrines of Scripture. One cannot believe in a fully authoritative Scripture and, at the same time, reject its teaching about the existence and personality of the Devil.

Summary

Satan is not a mere force, a symbolic figure of evil, or the figment of someone's imagination. He is a real personage. We discover this in the following ways.

1. Scripture always treats him as a personal being - never some impersonal force, or mere symbol of evil.

2. In His dialogue with Satan, Jesus treated him as someone who has real substance. We also find the Devil in conversation with the Lord in the Book of Job.

3. Personal pronouns such as "he," "you," and "himself," are attributed to the Devil.

4. He has the characteristics of one who has personality.

5. He has also demonstrated personal actions.

6. The existence and the personality of the Devil is tied to the acceptance of the Scripture as God's revelation to humanity.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. Now I ask you, if Satan is a figment of our imagination, are all of the beasts of the field likewise, a figment of our imaginations? Surely, I speak as a fool!

We conclude Satan is a real being that exists. There is no evidence whatsoever that we should understand him as some sort of illusion or symbol of evil.

I cannot understand how Satan can become a metamorphic entity that somehow can be explained as our carnal nature or fleshly selves, when there are so may scriptures that seem to me to identify him as a created being, such as Job 26:13. I do however give a lot of credibility to both Eby and Knowles in their combined efforts at setting people on a course for Godly truth.

-At this point in time-

I believe God when He tells me in His Word  that He created evil. I believe Him when He tells me He created Satan, I believe Him when He tells me He has created the waster to destroy, that His hand has formed the crooked serpent. I believe Him when He tells me He is going to have all things reconciled back to Himself. I believe Him when He tells me that all things include Satan and all of the demons and evil spirits. God has all power and authority, He has the power and ability to change all of creation from bad to good, and He will do as He says He will do. He can and will do all of His pleasure. After death has been done away with, the only thing left is life. The reason that God does everything that He does, is because it suits and serves His purpose to do it that way, from before the world began.

-My journey to some fresh air-

God has dragged me up and out of the gutter of slime, filth and grunge of this which is being called, "This present evil age", He is in the process of cleaning me up and helping me become useful to Him. My first philosophy of life was what I had noticed on a bumper sticker, it said, "If it feels good, do it". I don't have to tell you where all of that has led me in life, but thank God I am on my way to better things now. God has tried me by the fire of adversity, He has tried some of you too, in the same way as well. God has endowed me with an ambassadorship for His Kingdom. Without Him I can do nothing at all. But with Him we can all do things of unlimited scope, and great feats of unimaginable achievement. I am doing what God has asked me to do, I am revealing His truth to you as best as I am able to understand it. Much  of the truth of God is being understood in a variety of different ways, by churches, ministers and all of churchanity around the world. One thing is so iron clad, so necessary to get it right, and so easy to understand and to accept and to believe as the truth, that God has hidden it from most professing Christians, so they cannot understand it. And that is Universal Salvation, that of saving all of creation.

-As God is my witness-

I, Leith Lyman Cunningham; As an ambassador serving for and under Jesus Christ. Then by the name of, and through the authority of Jesus Christ, I do guarantee and promise you, no matter who you are or what you have done in your life, your salvation has been paid for and secured through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. You, me and all of creation, without even one exception, will be saved and belong in His Kingdom. It will be each one of us in our own turn, according to the wishes, good pleasure and promises of Almighty Gods own timetable. Its not a matter of guess-work or being dependent upon what we do or don't do. It has all been done for us by our brother, our high priest, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I hope this explains it in a manner that can be understood, have a good day my friend and brother in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
