Our Carnal Nature

By Leith Cunningham

Preface

Unlike the ministers of the world that draw a pay check from others that instruct them what to teach the flock, I am not burdened down in that way at all. I am accountable only to God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I do not get paid for anything I write nor accept any money in payment of my booklets; I pay all expenses out of my own pocket. Without Christ I can do nothing, but with Christ I can do all things. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing ( John 15: 4 - 5 ) A long time minister and good friend of mine that I learned much from through the years as we stayed in touch with each other, always seemed to have an open mind and a willingness to learn the truth of God. He was always there to teach me from the perspective that he had been taught from.

Then as I progressed in understanding and begin to write booklets of my own understanding according to the Word of God, I e-mailed this minister and offered a free booklet to him, it was as if I had just yanked a big knot in his tail. He was a high ranking minister in the church he belonged to, and declined my offer. He told me in so many words, that he didn’t want any outside spiritual information to take him off course in his rise to prominence within his church. He would not allow himself to question any little thing within his churches teachings. His church had become a part of his empirical self, God had become an insignificant and lesser part of his life, while the church whether right or wrong had in essence become his own God. The sad part of it was this minister had much to give, but taking the position he was taking in closing off his mind to seek and search the scriptures daily as the Berean’s did here in the book of Acts. Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. ( Acts 17:11 )

They were not afraid to question what was being given to them to accept and to believe as the truth of God. In contrast the minister of which I speak while refusing to let the truth of God enter his mind, to then make a decision whether to accept or reject it, was in effect, prostituting himself for a pay check.

He actually seemed to me to fear letting any outside teaching other than what their exalted leader authorized, to enter his mind. I try to substantiate the things I teach here by the Word of God. No one is under any obligation to accept or to believe any of it, you have the option to lay the booklet down, walk away and forget all about it. It would not surprise me at all if most people did just that. The truth of God is something that most do not want to hear about, it actually makes people mad when they hear it. Here is what Christ has to say about it.

(John 3:18 and on) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

(1 John 5: 10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness within himself: He that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

(John 8: 45) And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

(John 16: 9) (NLT) The world’s sin is unbelief in me.

(Hebrews 4:2) We have heard the same Good News that your ancestors heard. But the message didn't help those who heard it in the past because they didn't believe.

The people of God, the ones that Christ came to save, the religious of that time frame, killed Him for bringing the truth to them. I am just doing what the Word of God is telling me to do. It is up to the individual to accept and believe or to reject it.

Traits Of The Carnal Mind

The following are some of the features and manifestations of carnality:

Do we ever feel?

1. A secret sense of pride; an exalted feeling in view of our success or position; because of our good training and appearance; because of our natural gifts and abilities; an important, independent spirit; stiffness and preciseness; married to our opinion?

2. Love of human praise; a secret fondness to be noticed; love of supremacy; drawing attention to self in conversation; a swelling out of the ego when we have had a free time in speaking to others?

3. The stirrings of anger or impatience -- but worst of all we call it nervousness or holy indignation; a touchy, sensitive spirit; a disposition to resent and retaliate when reproved or contradicted; sharp, heated flings at another?

4. Self-will; a stubborn, unteachable spirit; an arguing, talkative spirit; harsh, sarcastic expressions; an unyielding, headstrong disposition; a driving, commanding spirit; a disposition to criticize and pick flaws when set aside and unnoticed; a peevish, fretful spirit; a disposition that loves to be coaxed and humored?

5. A jealous disposition; a secret spirit of envy shut up in our heart; an unpleasant sensation in view of the great prosperity and success of another; a disposition to speak of the faults and failings rather than the gifts and virtues of those more talented and appreciated than ourselves?

6. Lustful stirrings; unholy actions, a carnal leaning; undue affection and familiarity toward those of the opposite sex; wandering eyes; looking the second time?

7. A dishonest, deceitful disposition; evading and covering the truth; covering up our real faults; leaving a better impression of ourselves than is strictly true; false humility; exaggeration; straining the truth when it is to our advantage?

8. Unbelief; a spirit of discouragement in times of pressure and opposition; lack of quietness and confidence in God; lack of faith and trust in God; a disposition to worry and complain in the midst of pain, poverty, or at the dispensations of Divine Providence; an overanxious feeling whether everything will come out all right?

These are some of the traits which generally indicate a carnal heart. If one principle is lurking there, we can depend on it, they are ALL there.

I don’t know about you, but these indicators make me realize that God has a lot of work to do on me yet. I don’t worry about it to much though, because I know that He is up to the task and will not stop, quit or slack off until He has perfected me for service in His Kingdom. That goes for all of you whom are reading these words as well.

( 1 Corinthians 3: 13 ) If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. The symbolic fire of God destroys only the works of the flesh. It is the fire of God that saves all of mankind and reconciles all things in heaven and earth, back to God the Father. Then the end will come, when he ( Jesus Christ ) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. ( 1 Corinthians 15: 24 )

Our Carnal Nature

I was born and raised up in a family of four boys, no girls in the family. We had our share and more of fist fights, quarrels, tattling on the other one, getting the other one in trouble, along with all sorts of antagonistic behavior aimed at the other one along the way. We all have been created with a carnal nature. On the other hand it appeared females might be different. I was raised to believe and observe for myself that little girls were all made with sugar and spice and everything nice. Really good smelling, pleasant to look at with their silk, satin and lace, topped off with colorful ribbons, buttons and bows and the likes. I could not help but to think of them all as the angelic beings that their attractive blue eyes and curly blond hair of ringlets hanging from their shoulders and on down their backs portrayed.

But a little later on in life, I began to notice a change in my thinking and reasoning. As they came into womanhood, all the curves in the right places and being accented with provocative dress and come hither eyes to match. With perky uplifting breasts, proudly displaying their abundant cleavage. Causing grown men to slobber all over themselves. I eventually came to the conclusion that they may look nicer and sweeter, more delicate and possibly more mild mannered. But down underneath the often lovely and beautiful surface they were, or could be every bit as cantankerous, mischievous, evil and carnal as us boys. All of this brings me to the point I would like to make in this booklet. Something you no doubt have never been told and most likely will not believe it when I tell you, even though it can be proven out within the pages of your own bible. Here is a quote you would do well to consider.

“Mankind was not created good, then turned bad”

As Christianity has taught us to believe, it is the exact opposite. God created all of mankind flawed in the potter’s hand, with the need to be molded, remolded again and shaped into a perfect being just like Himself. (Genesis 1:26) Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; In other words, to be just like Them! To eventually have life immortal and spirit, to be like them in all aspects. God in truth is in the process of reproducing Himself in mankind. Here we see an example of that process in (Jeremiah 18: 3 - 4) Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something on the wheel.

But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make. God is the potter throughout our lifetime whom it is that is molding and shaping us into a useable vessel to be used in His kingdom as spirit, immortal beings to rule on this earth. If God is not satisfied with how our shaping and molding is coming along, He as the potter will break us up into pieces and start all over with the one lump again, until such time that He is satisfied with what we are coming to be. That breaking up symbolically will hurt and cause us pain and anguish at times, but is necessary to bring us to where we eventually need to be, to belong in His kingdom. But He will never quit, give up or stop working with each of us individually until He reaches that goal.

Here is where He tells us about it in the book of John.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (John 10: 28 - 29)

What does it mean to be carnal?

Bodily, lustful, lecherous, lascivious, libidinous, concupiscent. Carnal, sensual, fleshly, animal all refer to bodily rather than rational or spiritual aspects of humans. Carnal although it may refer to the body as opposed to the spirit, often refers to sexual needs or urges: carnal cravings, attractions, satisfactions. Sensual implies a suggestion of eroticism: sensual eyes; a sensual dance; it may also refer to experience of the senses: a sensual delight. Fleshly may refer to any physical need or appetite, sex as well as hunger and thirst: the fleshly sin of gluttony; fleshly yearnings. Animal refers to sexual appetites in a censorious way only; it may also describe pleasing or admirable physical characteristics or appearance: animal lust; to move with animal grace. 2. Earthly, natural.

I have often wondered what sort of a sensual and provocative dance it must have been that the daughter of Herodias danced for Herod and his guests in (Matthew 14: 6 - 11). 6 On Herod’s birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for Herod and his guests. She pleased Herod very much. 7 So he promised with an oath to give her anything she asked for. 8 Her mother told her what to say. So the girl said to Herod, “Give me the head of John the Baptist on a big plate.”9 The king was very upset. But he thought of his promise and his dinner guests. So he told one of his men to give her what she asked for. 10 Herod had John’s head cut off in the prison. 11 His head was brought in on a big plate and given to the girl. She then carried it to her mother.

It must have been some dance

Evidently not any need for any Viagra during Herod’s birthday celebrations. "He also swore to her, 'Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom'" (Mark 6:23) Herod was on top of the world. It was his birthday, and all the great men of the region had come to celebrate with him (Mark 6:21). Certainly there was much joy and many toasts to the great King of Galilee.

Just when the party seemed to reach its peak, in came Herodias' daughter to dance. What kind of dance? "And when Herodias' daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod, using all of her suggestive wiles of young womanhood to send a message of spine tingling eroticism while those who sat with him witnessed the king say to the girl,  'Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you'" ( paraphrased ) (Mark 6:22). It is hard to imagine that Herod was so impressed by her footwork or enamored of her execution of dance moves. This dance had as its object the same as most dances-the arousal of sexual desires. And Herod, in this excited state, utters words that will haunt him for many mornings after: "Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom" (Mark 6:23).

Let us learn from this sad scene in Herod's life, and see how we can choose better. First, we see that women have power over men. Herod is just another in a long list of Bible characters who prove this statement to us. How great might Samson had been if not for Delilah (Judges 16)? What kind of success would David have had if he had left Bathsheba alone (2 Samuel 11-12)? Wouldn't Solomon's example have been above reproach without his foreign wives, who turned him away from God (1 Kings 11:4)? There is an important lesson to be learned here. If these great men were not strong enough to resist the pull of evil women, we must not trust in our own strength either. Truly does Solomon say of the immoral woman "all who were slain by her were strong men" (Proverbs 7:26).

Consider for a moment Diana of the Ephesians

If you would care to do an eye opening, jaw dropping and interesting study on carnality 101 on its, most grandest and far reaching scale, the heathen goddess Diana would be the place to start. Known in different nations by many different names, she was in her time the ultimate goddess of rank paganism and carnality.

She gained fame and popularity during the time the apostle Paul was involved in preaching the good news of the kingdom of God in her part of the world. Her popularity instead of being stamped out by Paul’s preaching may have gone underground but only grew greater in popularity around the entire world. You will be amazed to learn about the influence she still has on the populations on this earth. You will be even more thunder struck to learn the prominent position she occupies, right out in the open for all to see and marvel at, right here in our own nation. Where thousands of wide eyed citizens gather around and gaze upon her features every year. You will be amazed at the influence she has had and continues to have on our own society and societies around the world. A negative, carnal influence that has shaped the way our people act and conduct their lives. A word to the wise is sufficient! Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2nd Timothy 2:15)

Diana of the Ephesians

Acts 19:24-41 This heathen goddess is not merely referred to as “great” because of the praise and admiration she received. The same was a standing epithet, a proper name, distinguishing her from other inferior deities bearing the same name of Diana or Artemis. The great goddess Diana resembled the attributes of Ashtoreth (which see). She symbolized the generative and nutritive powers of nature, and so was represented with many breasts. Her original temple was founded 580 B.C., and burned by Erostratus in 356 b.c. The second temple, built in the reign of Alexander the Great in Ephesus, the capital of Asia, became a renowned center of the worship of Diana and was the idol “whom all Asia and the world worshipped.” A lucrative trade was developed by the silversmiths in silver replicas of Diana. As the result of Paul’s powerful ministry in Ephesus, not only were curious arts and books of divination burned, but the silver shrine of Diana trade also received its death blow. Through the intervention of the town clerk of Ephesus, Paul was saved from rough handling by the enraged silversmiths.

God is in control of everything, and all the time

Lest anyone get the impression that I am anti woman, that I believe all of our problems are caused by the fair sex, that have turned themselves into evil women. Let me assure you that I am not. Without there being women on this earth, I would just crawl into a hole and pull it in behind me. I would not care to live in a world without there being women in it. We all have our own share of evil desires hidden within that only God knows about. If we would like to blame someone, we have to put it squarely on the shoulders of Jesus Christ. He is the One that created us all and accepts all responsibility to bring us up to the level required by His Father and our Father God. Do not let it slip out of your mind; Our Great Almighty God is in the process of reproducing Himself in us. We haven’t asked for the life we have been given and have absolutely nothing at all to be responsible for. God the Father did not charge a single one of us to accept the responsibility that He gave His Son. With that solidly in mind we can move on in our understanding.

The way we all have been created

Every person ever born of a woman on this earth with the possible exception of Jesus Christ, will have been born carnal, marred in the potters hand. (remember Christ was tempted in all things just as all of the rest of mankind, the difference being that God gave His Son a full measure of His Spirit. For since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit!  (John 3:34) (AMP) To help make it more real in our minds, let me take the time here to be specific, that we may refrain from judging and condemning our sinning brothers and sisters, as we all have our own secret sins we have to deal with as well, so judge not, lest we be judged. (This does not mean that we are not to judge right from wrong, which we should be learning to do) The judging of individual sins should be left up to the righteous judge of all.

You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. (Romans 14: 10 -12)

The following excerpt from the internet:

Jesus Christ is the only One qualified to act as Judge of all mankind, because He is both God and man in one person. As God He knows all things. His eyes are as a flame of fire, piercing into the very soul of man, discerning his hidden motives for his actions. All things are open and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Human judges are at a decided disadvantage, not knowing all the facts. That will not be the case, however, on the final day. Christ will bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts. Human judges also face the disadvantage of being sinners themselves, thus tending to be either too strict or too lenient. Jesus, on the other hand, is perfect. He loves righteousness, and hates wickedness. The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether. Furthermore, as man, Jesus Christ is uniquely qualified to judge, because He stands as one of us, fully identifying with us in all our weaknesses and sorrow, having been tempted in every way just as we are. God gave Jesus authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. (end quote)

Consider our own personal identity

We may not appreciate hearing it, we may be in denial of it, but here it is my friends, my brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ. Below are some of the specific attributes, character traits, evils and depravities which were created within us at birth by our maker and sustainer Jesus Christ. If it were not so, then none of it would exist within us. Within each of us has been created a potential spirit of murder, rape, lying, stealing, cheating of every nature, child abuse and molestation, wife swapping and beating, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, underhandedness of every nature, gangsters, male and female prostitutes, dope dealers, pimps, black mailers, transvestites, cross dressers, sexual slave traders, flesh peddlers, as well as many other things that we may never have heard of.

It has all been created within us to serve a good purpose, of which only God may know in its entirety. You may be turning green around the gills at this point, trying to figure out how you can go about having me arrested, tarred and feathered and rode out of town on a rail, for accusing God of something like this. But my friend, whom do you think created evil in the first place? It is time we take a short walk to (Isaiah 45:7) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Were you able to pick up on that? Christianity (the Babylon of confusion) spends a lot of time trying to protect God from Himself, in their attempt to explain this scripture away, but it is what it is, “God created evil”

My own enlightenment

I would like to take a few minutes here and tell you of a great moment in time experienced by myself. I felt somewhat like I imagine the Apostle Paul felt as Saul, before his conversion on the road to Damascus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners"--and I am the worst of them all.(1Timothy 1:15) (NLT) I knew well how bad I was and had no plans to change; I actually worked quite hard at being bad. My counselor and mentor was the bumper sticker that said, “If it feels good, do it”. Then by way of the potter’s wheel, God was able to get my attention as He begin to break me ( through many trials, trauma and tribulations ) down to mold a new lump into a usable vessel that He could use.

He reached way down in the slime, filth and corruption of this world, and right there on the bottom He caught me by the nape of the neck wallowing around and suffocating in the slop, mud and mire and dragged me to the surface and began to strip the grunge away. In the cleanup that continues on today, He isn’t finished with me yet. I had always assumed that others than myself were as they appeared to be, upright and straight laced, pure as the driven snow in their pious demeanor. I still remember how enlightened and awe struck I was when God revealed to me, that not a one was any different than myself. We all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. We all have been created in a certain way according to the purpose and plan of God. We are all as well, intended in time, to rise above that state in which we were created.

The purpose and plan of God cannot and will not fail

Our God is omnipotent: (has all power and authority in heaven and in the earth) He is Omniscient: (He has all wisdom and knowledge) He is Omnipresent: (He is everywhere at once) He is immutable: (He is the same yesterday, today and forever) God the Father is said to be Omniporus: Producing all things; this is what the Living bible, a paraphrase tells us in (John 1:1-2) Before anything else existed, there was Christ,* with God. He has always been alive and is himself God. The New Living Translation has it this way going on through verse three. In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, created everything that exists, with Christ being the creator and given all power in heaven and earth. (John 28:18)

The purpose and plan of God cannot and will not fail because He cannot lie, and has promised eternal life to all. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus 1:2) It cannot get any plainer then what we learn here in first Timothy. Who will have all men (and consequently, all of creation as well) to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4) Adding to this is the Word of God in Isaiah. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:  (Isaiah 46:10 ) Nothing can stop or stay the hand of God. He will do all that He tells us He will do. It is all being worked out according to His own will.  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: (Ephesians 1:11) This scripture alone does away with the fabled free will that Babylon teaches exist within mankind.

From Carnality to Righteousness

God is God; He can do anything within righteousness that He so desires to do. His ways are so much higher than that of the greatest ever of mankind that it goes far beyond any type comparison. Unlike us simple bug like creatures in comparison to our creator God, He did not roll the big fuzzy dice one day and haphazardly decide to try and create the universe and everything in it. God has an exact, precise, purpose and plan for all that He does, knowing the end from the beginning as He tells us that He does. There is not the slightest chance of failure, what He starts; He will bring to a successful conclusion. The One that created carnality within us all for a specific purpose also has an established working plan in force to bring each and every one of us up and out from it. The bible calls it salvation, and because it includes everyone who has ever lived, whom lives now or will live in the future, I call it Universal Salvation. While the bible is thought to be a literal translation by most Christians, in reality the exact opposite is true. It is mostly written in symbolic, figurative or metaphoric style language, not at all to be taken literally. (Especially so in Revelation which is all symbolic) Christ taught the masses only in parables, not as Christianity believes and teaches others to believe, to make it easier to understand, but to hide the meaning from them. Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. (Matthew 13: 34) Christianity (the Babylon of confusion) do error greatly in their beliefs and teachings of these things pertaining to the Word of God. How can their converts be expected to know and understand the Word of God? The answer of course is they cannot. The consequences are, they stumble along in the darkness, being programmed and taught by deceiving spirits. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness (2nd Corinthians 11:14 - 15)

Christ didn’t want the masses to understand

Before I go any farther, I would like you to know that I respect your right to believe whatever it is that you have come to believe. The fact that Christ didn’t want many to understand His message, tells me, He was not and is not attempting to bring everyone on earth to understand His message at this time. He told them, (His disciples) “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven! (Mark 4: 11 - 12) I do not claim to have all truth, knowledge or spiritual understanding. I suspect many non-Christians have a better record of loving and helping others than myself. I have interacted with many non-Christians that I have known and learned much from and have on occasion copied after their commendable actions and interactions with their fellowman / woman. Nearly all of my eighty one years plus, I have lived in my present location. Often the first folks to offer help during times of need are the non-Christians.

They are not judging, condemning, arrogant, overbearing and wanting to save our souls like many Christians are hell bent on doing either. Often looking down as from a superior position. I do however recognize, believe and accept the fact that Christianity is well intentioned, in spite of the deception that Satan has led them into as the truth of God. I value greatly what God is achieving through their work on this earth as the people of God. I do not believe it is my job to save souls; Christ has already accomplished that in paying the price for all sin for all time. To think I might be able to add anything to the free gift that God has given us all, is to belittle and attempt to make void, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. What God asks me to do is to preach the gospel (good news) of the kingdom of God. And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. (Mark 16:15) It is totally up to others to accept or reject it. In either case you will not burn alive forever in hell, your salvation has already been secured as mine has been as well. That is why we call Christ the Savior and not the almost Savior.

Our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29)

God has created me in the state of carnality and somehow along the way it seems, I have been injected with an extra dose of rebellion against law and order and authority. On top of that at some early point in my life, I was turned over to Satan to be drug through the flesh pits of life and be subjected to all of the slime and filth that this world under the ruler ship of Satan has to offer. After, reaching a point to where I was filled to overflowing with following after the leadership of (Satan) the god of this world. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2nd Corinthians 4:4) I had reached a point where I wanted to change the miserable, drunken, existence I was subjecting my family to. I wanted to puke it all up and out of my system.

I wanted God to help me deal with life in a way that could cause us to have a solid, secure, sane, sober and rewarding lifestyle, like others seemed to have and to enjoy. I asked for God to help me and He has been my help and support now for the past fifty years. A quote from John F. Kennedy, “To those whom much is given, much is expected.” This is based on, But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (Luke 12:48) Having been beaten over the back by the symbolic consuming fire of God through trials and tribulations has caused a change to take place in me. I feel as though I have been given much in understanding the Word of God. Changing the way I think, reason and act, I want to serve God. Having been given much then, much is being required of me. I take this seriously!

Given an impossible assignment

Jesus Christ for the past fifty years has been revealing the character of God the Father to me through His inspired Word in the bible. Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? (John 14:9) We all learn whom the Father is by seeing, emulating, following, believing, and watching how Christ is leading His own life. Christ can do nothing except that which He sees the Father doing. Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. (John 5: 19) And by the same token, Christ tells us without Him, we can do nothing. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5) Like I have already said, God is in the process of cleaning me up to be a somewhat useful tool in His service. He has taken a rebellious head strong son with an attitude, beaten me about the head and shoulders with the symbolic rod of correction, watched me as a bottom feeder as I have slithered through the slime this world under the influence of (Satan) the god of this world has subjected me to. Then He gives me comfort in my time of trouble and need.

I am learning to love and appreciate the Word and truth of God. Where, many others fail to receive the love of the truth. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2nd Thessalonians 2:11) A couple years ago God saddled me with a seemingly impossible assignment. I was receiving a premonition from God (I feel) to write spiritual booklets announcing the truth and good news I have been receiving for the past fifty years. How is that  even possible for a high school drop out with a ninth grade education? Never having taken typing, do not understand proper grammar, sentence structure or punctuation or even which letters need to be capitalized. Still I felt driven to do the best that I know how to do. Here I am now on my 21st booklet and feel like God is blessing me greatly because of it. If for no other reason, it is causing me to keep my nose in the Word and truth of God, to better understand myself, more of the purpose and plan of our Great God. I am learning, with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

It doesn’t stop here

Myself and a longtime friend and brother in the Lord Jesus Christ, James Oliver Near, have begun our own fledgling website. www.thetruthstandsout.com  It is already loaded up pretty good with our own material, along with the excellent links to other writings of other dedicated individuals that have nothing to sell, and don’t beg for money. But do have years of study and research in seeking out the truth of God posted on their own websites, which we have listed on ours. It doesn’t take a wizard reading our material to figure out that neither Jimmy nor myself are scholars. This is just another indicator that it might be worthwhile to check it out.

Here is what God says in (1 Corinthians 1:19 and 27) 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; although we definitely are not mighty, within our weakness and trust in God we have become useful.

If God can talk through the mouth of a donkey, and He can as we see here in. (Numbers 22: 21 - 28 ) Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. 22 But God was very ang)ry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road. 24 Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards, with walls on both sides. 25 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it. So he beat the donkey again. 26 Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. 27 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it lay down under Balaam, and he was angry and beat it with his staff. 28 Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” Since God is God and He can do whatever pleases Him at any time. He talked here through the mouth of a donkey. It is no big deal at all then, for Him to raise up a couple of carnal, unsophisticated, uneducated, Northern Michigan “Jack Pine Savages” like Jimmy and me to reveal His truth to the world. That is exactly what we are involved in doing.

The earnings of our carnal lives

At or about the age of twelve years, my brother Glade and myself worked for a neighboring farmer. I am talking about hard work too, not just lollygagging around. We worked right along with him throughout the day. We worked hard because we were promised to be paid for our labor. We were happy to be paid fifty cents for a whole days work, it was the wages we had worked for and earned. It was what we had coming to us. Did you know that the Word of God tells us also about something we have worked for, earned and have got coming to us? About the wages God tells us that must be paid by what we have worked for? Since, all of humanity has been created in a carnal nature, with enmity against God.

"The carnal mind is enmity against God"—(Romans 8:7.) Here then is where we find out what our carnal nature has earned us. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23) Did you catch that? The wages we all have worked hard for, have earned and have coming to us is death. There is no if and or buts about it, we all have worked for it, we deserve it and have it coming to us. There is no way out of it or around it; we all are on our way to the penalty of death. We have earned it and have it coming to us. But for the saving grace of Jesus Christ, we all might just as well jump into a giant toilet, pull the chain, yell good-by to the world and get it all over with now. But here is where I am supposed to be reminding you of “The Good News” that God has asked me to reveal to you.

But the gift of God is eternal life

Just as absolute and true as the wages of sin is death, we find in the second half of that scripture, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Every bit as certain that as all have worked for and have earned death as the wages for their sin, God has promised His gift of eternal life to all as a free gift. We cannot work for it or earn it in any way, it is a free gift from God planned out and put into motion before the world began. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus 1:2)

My hope is that you are beginning to get the message of the awesome and wonderful truth being given you here. I urge you to guard your own mind from believing and accepting anything less than the plan and purpose of God to save all of mankind, without any exceptions. Do not let your church, your minister, or any other hocus pocus, make believe, Babylon of confusion, church or religious system of any persuasion, tell you otherwise. Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind and in fact all of creation. Otherwise we would be referring to Him as the almost Savior, the One that could save only a few. The One that along with His Father God would toss most of mankind into the raging flames of a contrived Christian Hell.

To, watch for all eternity, as they writhed in agonizing pain and anguish for trillions and trillions of years. All of this nonsense is being taught in churches around this world by the ministers of Satan that have been feeding at the table of demons. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants ( ministers ) of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. (2nd Corinthians 11: 14 - 15)

The purpose of Satan

As we have seen, Satan was created by God as an adversary to mankind. God created the waster to destroy, By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed ( Satan ) the crooked serpent ( Job 26:13 ) Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. (Isaiah 54:16)  It is the reason Michael knew not to rail against him, to do so would have in effect been also railing against his creator God. When we overcome error in what we have always been taught, or at least assumed, that Satan is operating on his own, separate and apart from God. We then are able to move on to truth that God will have all his people to know as he sees fit to give it to us. You are now getting some of that truth by way of this booklet. Without Satan and the work that God has given him to do and determined that he should have, mankind could never become complete, as an immortal, spirit as God is.

It requires the work that God has given Satan to do, to bring mankind up to the level that God has preordained that we become like Him in all ways. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. (Genesis 1:26) We all by necessity have to know both good and evil as God does. We could never be as God is, by just knowing good. We need to get our concept of Satan clear in our mind. He has been placed in his position to lead us all astray. To lead us into all sorts of sin, but at the same time if we resist him, he will flee from us. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:7 - 8) A double minded man is unstable in all he does. Resist him, ( Satan ) standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5:8)

A personal lesson learned

At one time in my life many years ago, I was being troubled by Satan in my life, on a continued basis. (Although I didn’t at the time recognize it as being Satan) It caused great fear in my innermost being as I would awake at night and sense an evil, supernatural presence next to me. I recall one night lying in bed with my face to the wall and feeling this supernatural presence approaching my back. I felt the bed squash down as someone sat on the edge of it. The hair on the back of my neck stood up and fear gripped me as never before. I tried to move but couldn’t.

I made a determination to give it all I had to turn quickly and confront whatever this was, but still unable to move a muscle. Within a few minutes, that seemed like hours, the bed slowly begin to rise up as if someone sitting upon it was leaving. I decided to give it another try to move, with all of my might I turned and quickly jumped out of bed. I got my wife up and we searched the house from one end to the other looking for an intruder, there was none. I never remember being so filled with fear, it got my attention. After several years had gone by with lesser visits of this nature, I experienced a spiritual awakening; I knew God was calling me. I began to study His Word and learned a valued lesson about Satan. I learned that he was obligated to obey Christ. I never again have suffered such fear, Satan had tried several more time to do his work on me, but each time he did I commanded him in the name of Jesus Christ to go away and leave me alone, he had to obey. He hasn’t bothered me in that way for years now.

There is no good thing in the flesh

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (Romans 7:18) Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. (Romans 7:25) The Word of God goes on to tell us that the flesh profits nothing. Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. ( John 6:63 ) We are to worship God now in spirit and in truth, no good thing dwells within the flesh, even within the flesh of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ answers a certain ruler whom had just addressed him as good master. And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. ( Luke 18:19 ) And again in Mark. And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. ( Mark 10:18 ) We therefore need to come to this realization in order to more fully understand the will and the way of our Father God. Speaking of these things on his own website, L Ray Smith has a segment where he answers the question of an individual, named Almon. I believe that others may find this enlightening and as informing as I have.

From the website of L Ray Smith

Dear Ray,

If we are no longer, as Christians, to observe the Lord's supper would you please explain (1Cor. 11:23-26)? And (Act20:7)?

Almon

[Ray Replies] Can be found on the L. Ray Smith website.

Dear Almon:

Is it the fact that you find a Scripture stating something in the Word of God that you conclude that we should "do it?" I have absolutely nothing against anyone who wishes to keep the Lord's supper. I have nothing against anyone who wishes to be circumcised or be baptized. I have nothing against anyone who wishes to sacrifice animals or offer sin offerings, burnt offerings, peace offerings and the like.

Gen. 6:14 commands: "Make THEE an ark of gopher wood...." I have nothing against anyone who wants to follow this command and "Make an ark of gopher wood."

There are hundreds of things commanded in the Scriptures. I have nothing against anyone who wishes to do ALL OF THEM. I don't. I never made an ark of gopher wood, and never intend to.

And just why don "I" do any of these things? Well, actually I used to do some of them. I used to pay my THREE tithes (oh you didn't know that there were THREE tithes?). I was water baptized. I used to wash my brothers feet, and I used to partake of the Lord's supper once a year. And now I don't. Why not? Because there is absolutely nothing physical that can make one spiritual.

Paul baptized at one time in his ministry and then he quit. Why? Because he put away childish things and went on to spiritual maturity. Paul used to circumcise in his early ministry and then he quit. Why? Because he put away childish things and went on to spiritual maturity.

All physical rituals are CARNAL ordinances, and we are no longer under carnal ordinances. We are now under the "Law of the Spirit of Life." "We no longer know Jesus after the FLESH." Jesus HIMSELF said: "The flesh profits NOTHING." "The words that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE."

Although it was mighty important in Christ's time to worship in THIS mountain or in THAT mountain, Jesus Himself said that the time would come (and so it has) that we no longer worship here or there or in this manner or in that manner, with this set of physical rituals, or with that set of physical rituals, but rather WE WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. We are to WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH! Now then, does anyone think that we can add to those instructions by adding a few physical, carnal, rituals? I think not.

I hope this helps your understanding a little better.

God be with you,

Ray

Even though the late L Ray Smith is now deceased, and has left his mortal body that accounts for nothing, to disintegrate back into dust and ashes, his spirit has at the moment of his death returned back to God whom had given it to him at birth, to be absorbed back into God until the resurrection. With the wondrous advent of the internet in which to communicate our thoughts and ideas and the deeper truths of God, L Ray Smith continues to teach the truth of God revealed to him, for which I will ever be grateful and thankful.....    Leith Cunningham

Our carnal nature cannot be trusted

No matter how sincere, dedicated, loyal or converted we may be, we can never be trusted in this fleshly, carnal nature that we have been born with. Let me reveal a personal example of which I speak. I have a beautiful granddaughter, a lovely child that I helped raise and teach her as she was growing up. We spent a lot of time together along with my other grandchildren, discussing the will and the ways of God, having fun playing games, taking them all to restaurants to eat, traveling around to different places of interest, expanding their little minds to their surroundings, enjoying life to the full within our family. She was a joy to behold, intelligent, pretty, with a good sense of humor. She grew up under the impression and believing that I could do no wrong.

She would defend me against any negative accusations. She was a product of a divorce and was shuttered from pillar to post. She was our daughter’s daughter, but wanted to live with her father, to be able to go to school in that area and in my opinion because her father doted on her and spoiled her with all that money could buy. Her mom had three other younger girls with which to compete with for attention, and very little money or possessions to enjoy. She grew more and more unhappy at the time and wanted to live with her dad. I agreed to help her and talked with her mom about it. She ended up living with her dad and his new wife through most of her teenage years. What happened later could have been predicted, and I understood it while it was taking place.

Becoming antagonistic toward her mom

I felt bad for the hand this little girl had been dealt. She had nothing to do with it but had to suffer through decisions her parents were making. She became more and more antagonistic and judgmental against her mother, to a point where she was attempting to get her younger siblings to bear false witness against her mom to have her put behind bars, in jail. I talked to her but to no avail, she had her mind made up to go through with the plan. She had called my place and wanted to talk to her younger sister, to coerce her into going along with her plan. I wouldn’t let her talk to her and it became a problem that ended up on one Labor Day celebration when she and her father whom had been influencing her, came up to myself and her grandmother sitting in a crowd of several hundred people. Her cowardly father attacking us while still sitting down in a helpless position.

While our granddaughter looked on all smiley with a smug look on her face. It then and there severed our granddaughter / grandparent relationship. She now has (ten or so years later) a six year old daughter that I miss seeing as she grows up. I miss our granddaughter and the closeness we once shared together along with all the happy memories we had developed together. I don’t necessarily blame her for the problem as much as her out of proper balance father. However, because of the attitude and mind set she has developed along with the actions to go with it, I love her, I forgive her, but I cannot allow myself to have her or her young daughter around. I cannot take the chance of being falsely accused of something I haven’t done. Now that I know she is capable of doing that. This carnal nature we all have been given simply cannot be trusted.

King David, a man after Gods own heart

King David was a great king, he had all of the needed traits God was looking for in a leader for His nation of Israel. He was brave, courageous and strong of mind and heart. God hand picked him to be king of His people and whose kingdom will never end.

God's Covenant with David

My loving-kindness shall not depart from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. "Your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever."'" In accordance with all these words and all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. And again in here in Luke. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. ( Luke 1:33 ) After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him:  ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ ( Acts 13:22 ) God declares King David to be a man after His own heart. Here is a man with impeccable credentials. Someone that God whom knows all things, past, present and future, handpicked to head a kingdom that shall never end. God knew that David like all the rest of us was flawed in the potter’s hand. He knew that David would require some shaping and remolding along the way. Being secure in his position of king, David looked down one day and saw Uriah’s lovely wife sunbathing on the rooftop. He didn’t put a halt upon his erotic imaginations. Overcome by temptation he ( as Solomon would phrase it, began to plow with someone else’s heifer.) He was committing adultery, he was having sexual relations with Uriah’s wife Bathsheba. King David’s solution to the problem was to order Uriah back into battle with orders for others to withdraw from him, to let him die in battle. Imagining I suppose, whom would ever be the wiser, whom would ever know? David ended up paying dearly for his sin of adultery and misjudgment.

Read about it here in 2nd Samuel 11... (NIV) In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. 2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, 3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. 5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” 6 So David sent this word to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent him to David. 7 When Uriah came to him, David asked him how Joab was, how the soldiers were and how the war was going. 8 Then David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and wash your feet.” So Uriah left the palace, and a gift from the king was sent after him. 9 But Uriah slept at the entrance to the palace with all his master’s servants and did not go down to his house.

Kinda makes me wonder if Uriah was onto something

10 David was told, “Uriah did not go home.” So he asked Uriah, “Haven’t you just come from a military campaign? Why didn’t you go home?” 11 Uriah said to David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my commander Joab and my lord’s men are camped in the open country. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and make love to my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!”12 Then David said to him, “Stay here one more day, and tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next. 13 At David’s invitation, he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. (His conniving carnal nature supposed that Uriah would then sleep with his wife ) But in the evening Uriah went out to sleep on his mat among his master’s servants; he did not go home. 14 In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. 15 In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”

Is this carnality 101 or what?

16 So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were. 17 When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David’s army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died. 18 Joab sent David a full account of the battle. 19 He instructed the messenger: “When you have finished giving the king this account of the battle, 20 the king’s anger may flare up, and he may ask you, ‘Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Didn’t you know they would shoot arrows from the wall? 21 Who killed Abimelek son of Jerub-Besheth? Didn’t a woman drop an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?’ If he asks you this, then say to him, ‘Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.’”

Knowing it was the news David wanted to hear

22 The messenger set out, and when he arrived he told David everything Joab had sent him to say. 23 The messenger said to David, “The men overpowered us and came out against us in the open, but we drove them back to the entrance of the city gate. 24 Then the archers shot arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the king’s men died. Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.” 25 David told the messenger, “Say this to Joab: ‘Don’t let this upset you; the sword devours one as well as another. Press the attack against the city and destroy it.’ Say this to encourage Joab.”26 When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him. 27 After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord.

I realize this was a bit long on solid scripture, but to me it is a segment of scripture that tells us a lot about God and carnal nature. It is interesting enough to hold our attention and let us know at the same time that even in our evil, carnal nature, we can still be usable to God. It tells us as well that no one is immune to temptation, we are all subject to stumble and fall. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12) It should as well tell us to place our trust and confidence in God and not man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 5:6) There are scriptures a plenty that show us that others are prone to letting us down at the most crucial times. Man in our fleshly, carnal nature are subject to turning our backs upon others that have come to trust and to count upon us, in good times and in bad. It doesn’t always happen! Our faith in God is unwavering, until it is tested. We learn this in the case of Peter denying Christ three times. This was to be the ultimate test for Peter, and Jesus knew that his friend would fail. Even though Peter promised to lay his life down for Christ in (John13:37) Jesus told Peter that he would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed. Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times! (John 13: 38) So much for our fleshly, carnal promises.

All is not lost however

Even though we all were created with a heavy dose of Carnality as part of our human experience, mankind in the process of being made in the image and likeness of God, have been given the ability and wherewithal to do and produce awesome and wonderful things. It was something that God knew from the beginning and talks about it here in the very first book of the bible.

The Tower of Babel

(Genesis 11: 1 - 9) Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” 5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Make a mental note here of the limitations God put upon mankind being made in His own image and likeness. “There were none.”

God knew at that point in time that nothing would be impossible for man to accomplish. So God came down and confused our language so we could not understand each other. To serve His purpose and time table it evidently required that our progress be slowed down a bit. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11: 7 - 9)

Fast forward to the year 2014

Man to a great degree has overcome the language barrier, look around ourselves and see what man has accomplished. We have now accomplished the seemingly impossible in so many different areas that boggle the mind of people like me. Skyscrapers reaching far and away higher into the sky then the tower of Babel could ever possibly have achieved at the time. Moving mega tons of goods, material and supplies of every description through the sky high above our heads on a regular, daily, and hourly basis. Space exploration and the ability to send a mega ton vehicle straight up into the sky now as a routine practice. We have access to world markets, where we can now eat fresh tropical fruit such as pineapple, oranges, bananas, and everything else we enjoy for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis. Our food supply is being shipped in from around the world, as we ship ours elsewhere as well. All other supplies and materials shipped right to our doorsteps if we so wish, that are needed to make life enjoyable and comfortable as we recline in our plush laid back life style that we all have become accustomed to. Even though I see it all with my eyes, it is hard for me to understand how as the bug like creatures we are compared to God, how it is even possible for mankind to have come this far? Adding to that is the worldwide web that opens up understanding of every nature to all with a desire to learn about what has gone on before, what is happening now and the will and the way of our creator God, and what it means to us personally.

Consider the hereafter

We are not the temporary beings that our churches and ministers have taught us to believe that we are. God made us to last forever, it is only within this fleshly, physical, condition that profit nothing that we are temporary, The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6: 63) (NIV)  The old physical body soon enough will die, rot and decay and return to dust and ashes from whence it came. While at that same moment our spirit will return to God whom gave it. and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) We have a greater by far future to look forward to then any one has ever before explained to us. We will be as God and Jesus Christ are. We will have spirit, immortal life in the grand finale of things to come. It will all happen on that future day when Christ has put down all enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed will be death. After death has been destroyed, the only thing left will be life for all. To again, have life as God and Christ have life.

Christ, not an almost Savior

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (The exact same all that die will all be made alive) 23 But each in their own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

( after death has been destroyed, the only thing left is life ) 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15: 22- 28)

Notice: ( Not all in a few, not all in some, not all in many, but all in all of mankind )

The Christ I worship and serve is not an almost Savior, He will not give up and hang His head in disgrace because He wasn’t able to accomplish the work His Father had given him to do. When He announced “it is finished” He had clearly finished the work the Father had given Him to do.

When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head, and gave up His spirit. (John 19:30) He is the Savior of all of mankind. He asked His Father God to forgive all of mankind for not knowing what they were doing. God has honored His prayer.

We are all part of an impossible plan

Without God it is all a nonsensical pipe dream, without the slightest chance of being successful or ever coming to fruition. With God however, it has no chance what so ever of failing. The purpose and plan of God will come off exactly and precisely as planned before the world began. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus 1:2)

Going then over to the book of Isaiah, we can see it being verified here. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: (Isaiah 46:10) To help us all to expand our minds on the size and scope of things to come, and to realize we are all to be a part of it. Lets consider some of these things to inspire us all, in our walk with God. I have heard the human mind being described as the greatest agency on earth, and maybe throughout the universe.

Which at first seems unlikely until you consider it was Jesus Christ whom designed it after the mind of God the Father, before placing it within every human being born of a woman on this earth. We have already learned according to God that what man can imagine, he can bring about and accomplish. With this in mind lets take a look at the vastness of the universe in which we all live. We will have access to it all as God and Christ do now.

It is impossible to wrap our minds around this

Light travels at 186.000 miles per second. You heard that right, 186,000 miles per second. At that speed it will take light four years to travel to the nearest star. It would take one hundred light years for light to travel the length of the Milky Way. There are more planets, moons, suns and stars out there in space than there are grains of sand on all the beaches of our world. The Hubble telescope has affirmed that the universe is still growing and expanding. Christ under the tutelage of His Father God, has created it and is giving it to us all. To be used by the God family of which we all are a part of and belong to.

(Oh! You didn’t know that we are a part of the family of God, you have accepted and believe the false concept of the trinity being taught and believed by the Babylon of confusion? )

My friends, my brothers and sisters, we are not all going to heaven and gaze upon the face of God for all eternity. Neither will any of us be annihilated and done away with altogether, not even one. God is not going to throw most all of us into a literal lake of fire that the Babylon of confusion have named hell, to be tortured and tormented day and night forever. While He and His Christ stand around getting their jollies watching people suffer unspeakable pain and anguish for all eternity. It is not going to happen! We will all have meaningful work to do in whatever it is that God has given us the know-how and ability to do. All tears and all sorrow will cease forever, God will return a pure language to us, so that His Word and His way will be known by all. For then will I turn to the people a pure language that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. (Zephaniah 3: 9)

No need for one to teach another

The greatest part of all, there will be no need for anyone having to teach another, for God tells us that all shall know Him from the least to the greatest. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (Hebrews 8: 11)

Then on over to Jeremiah we see the same thing again. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." (Jeremiah 31: 34)

We need to be of good cheer, it is sure, it is certain; it is in the future for us all. No one can thwart the will and the way of God. He according to (Ephesians 1:11) works all thing out after the counsel of His own will. I tell you a truth here today, if you are not being taught these things in the church you are attending, you are being taught by the ministers of the Babylon of confusion. In which case you should follow the admonition of God in chapter eighteen of Revelation. Come out of her, my people! (Revelation 18:4) This is going to be our future in the peace filled world of tomorrow. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:9)

As far as the east is from the west

I didn’t have anything to do with any of this and neither do you. I was born and raised up in the carnal nature that God had created me in. I seen no reason at all to change it, and in fact it seemed only natural to use it all to my advantage in protecting my own life. As soon as I turned seventeen years old I joined The United States Army. I expected to be among a raw boned bunch of he men like it showed in the movies. Instead many were basically just like me and some even younger and scrawnier than myself, having lied their age to get into the service. We were mostly a bunch of high school drop outs with attitudes against authority. We were informed immediately what it had meant when we signed our names on the dotted line of enlistment service to our country. We had given up all rights as a civilian and now legally belonged to The United States Government. We no longer had any personal identification, we became GI’s. (Government Issue)

Our job was to learn how to protect our nation against all enemies. The training began immediately, we were systematically being taught and programmed how to kill and destroy the enemies of our country if the need arose. Within a year I was sent to Korea where the brutal North Korean Army had attacked the south and were in the process of slaughtering South Korean men, women and children along with the poorly trained South Korean Army. It was hell on earth, my real education had begun.

Being forced into a bloody war in a place I had never even heard of before, amongst a people I quickly learned to hate and with the desire to get some revenge on them. I volunteered as a machine gunner on the frontline with the 2nd Inf. Div. To make a longer story short, I ended up being as brutal as the enemy had been. I still have sleepless nights remembering ripping the bodies of my fellowman apart, as they fell to the ground. The vivid images haunt me at times, even though I have repented and continue to repent daily of my past actions. About fifty years ago now, I had a spiritual awakening. I believe and have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as paying the full price with His own life for all sin for all time, for all people. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions (sins) from us. (Psalm 103:12)

What He has done for one, He has already done for all. Your salvation along with all whom have ever lived has been assured. There is more to it, but this is enough for now, you’ll learn more as you go along. May the God of all heaven and earth open our eyes and unstop our ears, that we all may hear and understand the Word that He has left recorded for us.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!
