Rev 20:2 “And (Christ) he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,” KJV

Remember That Revelation is Christ telling us what is what. “And he (Christ) laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years

Here I see a reference to

1. The dragon, } that Old Serpent. Where do you find that? Gen 3:1 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. “
2. This serpent which is the devil, & satan.

Rev 2:13 “‘I (Christ) know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. ESV

1. Where is the throne of satan? Gen 3:14 The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you (the serpent) shall eat all the days of your life.
2. Here is where satan dwells! It does not dwell anywhere else but in the DUST!
3. The serpent has a time line. all the days of your (serpent’s) life. So you can see that the serpent has a life.
4. Where is that life, here God is talking to Adam, Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face (Adam) you shall eat bread, till (Adam) you return to the ground, for out of it (Adam) you were taken; for (Adam) you are dust, and to dust (Adam) you shall return.”
5. So where is the serpent’s dwelling place? It is ADAM or Mankind. This is where the Lord God said! Remember Rev 2:13 “‘I (Christ) know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. To me this is absolute proof that what we call 1. The dragon 2. The old serpent 3.The devil 4.The satan. Only dwells in the dust. No where else! Note: I use the small (s) for satan. I will not give something that dwells in the flesh any status of power.

Rev 2:24 “But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay on you any other burden.” ESV

You can see here that humans have to learn the ways of the serpent. Some of God’s children have learned the ways or should I say have been overcoming those things with the help of (The Christ) Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Jer 17:9 “The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?” KJV
Note the heart is “The center of all things”
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is desperately sick: who can know it? ERV
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? AKJV
Jer 17:9 “The heart is more deceitful than anything. It is incurable— who can know it? ISV

Gal 5:19 -21 Now the works of the flesh (or human nature) are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. KJV

Gen 2:8 -9 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst (the center) of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Question: Is the garden here a reference or metaphor for the mind? Where do are trouble originate? In Our Mind.

Next time.
