-The Unpardonable Sin-

Written by: Leith Cunningham on 9/13/2016

I claim status as an ambassador for God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ as documented here in 2nd Corinthians 5:19-21 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. (notice here God is not counting men’s trespasses against them) And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.…

I belong to a group of combat veterans of different wars they have served in. In the different locations around the world and the different branches of service; the Army, Navy, Marine and Coast guard. All of them have seen more than their own share of the wretched and grotesque sights, sounds, and the never ending of killing and destroying others made in the image and likeness of God. Watching their combat brothers dying in horribly mind bending pain and suffering, often being all shot or blown to a mangled hell with no hope of survival.

At our meetings we are able to get some of this gut wrenching filth out by sharing it with others that have been there and done that. You learn very quickly that you are not able to do that in a general setting with civilians or non-combat veterans; so you learn to keep it inside. It is really important to get this rot gut stuff out into the open and deal with it; sort of air it out, we can do that in our group and receive some acknowledgement by others that know exactly where we are coming from, because they have the same things to deal with themselves. I feel an obligation to help my brothers at arms come to terms with life’s issues as all of us have to. I will explain what I am leading up to in the following paragraph.

-An ambassador for Jesus Christ-

My place as an ambassador for God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ as I understand it; has been spelled out for me above; God is making His appeal through us, His people that He is working through in revealing Himself, His Son and His Holy Spirit to His people that He wants reached with His truth at this time. If I open up my mouth to defend His truth; and in the process have contradicted a brother; I should know what I am talking about and be able to back it up by showing the truth of it as God has given me to understand.

-The unpardonable sin-

At our last meeting a brother talked about there being only one sin that God would not forgive. He called it “the unforgivable sin or unpardonable sin”. I told him, and everyone else in the group that God would forgive all sin including what he called the unforgivable sin. It may have been rude of me to interrupt in this manner, But I know a lot of folks struggle with this issue, and especially so; those in our group. My brother wanted proof of what I had presented, and asked for it. This letter is the position I take on the subject, according as it has been given to me through the study of the Word of God. Some things take more than a couple sentences to explain; this is one of those things. I have taken the time here to seek and search it out in the Word of God and through the internet.

-The present day knowledge explosion-

According to His Word and way recorded in the pages of our bibles. Realizing that all we have for the most part to go by is translations from the Greek and Hebrew languages. To my knowledge there are no perfect translations, so we do the best we can through the many different translations we have today. We learn to depend upon dedicated truth loving and gifted individuals with the ability to seek and search out what each scripture is saying in the original language. In this present day of the knowledge explosion that exists on the internet, where with the click of the mouse we can find many individuals that fill that bill. We have the opportunity to accept or to reject their spiritual writings according as we are being led by the Holy Spirit.

-Mental, emotional, and spiritual relief-

I feel this is an important enough subject that some of our own brothers may have to deal with; that I willingly take the time and spend the effort in the hopes that it may help ease the mind and give mental, emotional and spiritual relief to even one brother. Below; Sam Storms, contributes these few thought provoking words.

-Comments from Sam Storms-

Many Christians live in constant and paralyzing fear that they have committed the unpardonable sin. They are burdened and broken and grieved and terrified that some sinful habit they cannot break or some recurring transgression they cannot avoid will forever exclude them from the presence of God. Their confidence is shattered and their assurance of salvation is all but lost. - Sam Storms

-Teaching from the table of demons-

The believing, accepting and teaching as the truth of God; that He cannot or will not pardon or forgive all sin, including that of blaspheming of the Holy Spirit in His due time, is a detestable, rank outright lie from the table of demons. It is a teaching that makes the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to be diminished and of little value. It suggests, He was unable to properly do the work His Father had sent Him to earth and given Him to do. It teaches that Satan came along and outsmarted Christ; making him (Satan) more powerful than either God or His Son Jesus Christ. This kind of savior would thereafter, have to wander the earth with a hung head and mumbling to himself about how he wished he could have prevailed and did the required work his father had given him to do.

-The shed blood of Jesus Christ prevails over all-

This teaching of fear religion coming out from a counterfeit Christianity; is responsible for causing untold pain and misery to an astronomical number of the people of God in their desire to please Him, but first they have to try and figure out what it means to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. It would be interesting to know how many decent people ended up taking their own lives about things they were guilty of, not ever knowing or understanding if they had ever committed the unpardonable sin. The bottom line here my friends and brothers, is, we don’t have to worry about it. It has all been taken care of by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

-This from L. Ray Smith-

Many people speak of the "Unpardonable sin" as though the Scriptures actually spoke of such a thing. They DO NOT! There is no such thing as an "unpardonable sin" in the Bible.

Well, then, what about Matt. 12: -31-32? Let's read it in a proper translation:

"Therefore I am saying to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be pardoned men, yet the blasphemy of the spirit shall not be pardoned."

It certainly SOUNDS like the blasphemy of God's spirit is an unpardonable sin, doesn't it? Let's continue reading:

"And whosoever may be saying a word against the Son of Man, it will be pardoned him, yet whoever may be saying against the holy spirit, it shall not be pardoned him, [ever? continue reading...] neither in THIS EON [age] nor in that [age] which is IMPENDING."

Now then, does it really say this sin is UNPARDONABLE? It is only unpardonable "in this age" and also "in the age to come [the impending age]." So it doesn't say it will NEVER be pardoned--only in this and the coming age will it NOT be pardoned What about the age AFTER the coming age? Ah, there is the answer. We live in what the Bible calls "this present wicked age." But the age to come is the ONE-THOUSAND-year reign of Christ in His kingdom on this earth. The sin against the holy spirit will not be pardoned in either of these two ages. When then? The age AFTER these two ages. After the one-thousand-year reign of Christ comes the white throne judgment in which ALL the unbelievers of the world will be judged.

Judging has to do with setting things RIGHT, not condemning to some Christian fabled hellhole of eternal torture in fire.

In Rev. 20 and 21 we read of God's purging lake of fire which will deal with all unbelievers and their sins. There will be many there who have blasphemed the holy spirit. But in that age of judging and setting right, even they will receive pardon and salvation. It is God's will and desire to save ALL MANKIND (I Tim. 2:4). And God will certainly fulfill ALL THAT HE HAS PURPOSED

(Isaiah 46:10-11). (NIV) I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.

Then again in Titus 1: 1-2-3 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ in service of the faith of God’s elect and of their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, 2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. 3 In His own time, He has revealed His message in the proclamation entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior.…

But the main thing I would tell anyone is that if you FEAR that you might have committed this sin, it is actually evidence THAT YOU HAVE NOT committed this sin. Those who blaspheme the holy spirit HAVE NO CONSCIENCE about their sin and therefore don't even care. Since you care and are concerned it is proof that God has given you a heart that wants to do right. So follow God's leadings in your life and these feelings of guilt will leave you. (end quote)

-Let’s take a look at the apostle Paul's’ life-

Here in Titus 1 Paul has this to say, Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ in service of the faith of God’s elect and of their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness. Paul understood and knew well of whom his master was. He was a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. He was in service of the faith of God’s elect and of their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness. In service of the faith of God’s elect How about that Paul was serving the faith of God’s elect. In other words, it was his job so to speak; in dealing with a very elite group of the people of God. Added to that Paul was in God’s service seeing that the elect had knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness.

-A Christian contrived hell-

To encourage and build upon the faith of those whom were being selected to be the elect of God. Those dedicated, sincere and converted Christians that believed Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be; the Son of God and our Lord and Savior. And what does a Savior do you might ask? I’ll bet my nine-year-old great-granddaughter “New-Pea” could tell you without hesitation; but the sad thing is, Christians are not taught to believe or to accept it as the truth of God.

-Believe what your church teaches-

Will everyone repeat after me… A Savior saves, now that wasn’t hard was it? How many does He save might be your next question? The answer here depends upon whom to believe, your friendly church pastor or the Word of God. Your friendly pastor will tell you that most all of mankind will either be annihilated and done away with altogether; or condemned to the Christian contrived hell, to suffer untold pain and misery forever, without any relief. To suffer in never ending pain and agony for trillion of trillions of years without one second of relief. Of course in the same breath he will tell you that you are in good stead and will be saved yourself; if you will believe only him and the church you attend.

-Worship of a broken plastic doll-

Of course we have to remember here that we are talking about your god, your church and your minister, if that is what they believe and teach others to accept and believe as the truth. On the other hand, my God and my Savior Jesus Christ are going to keep Their promise. Not being weak and effeminate as most pictures portray Him to be, or a cracked and broken down from weather and age, a plastic doll that cannot walk or move in any fashion; but has to be carried out and set up in someone’s yard all winter long, known as the nativity scene;

-In vain they do worship me,teaching for doctrine the commandments,of men-

then to be dug up out of the snow in the springtime and put back in its cardboard box home in the basement until the next seasonal pagan originated day that has profaned His (Christ') name by attaching it to a pagan hell raising celebration called Saturnalia; nowadays called Christ-mass. We don't have to guess about where that terminology originated from. Never mind the fact that God commands us not to follow after how other nations or religions serve their gods. It may have originated from the Catholic church, but the protesting Catholics known as Protestants, jump right in knee deep also. They as the Catholics it seems can never get enough romping and playing around in paganism, while profaning and using the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ vain.

-How long must we continue to call God a liar?

My God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omniparous. He is all powerful, all knowing, He is everywhere at once and out from my Father God through Jesus Christ comes everything in existence. Then most important of all for mankind was God bringing forth His Son Jesus Christ as the first born of many brothers as it states it in scripture. (We are all; the many brothers and sisters) God knew before the creation of man, that His plan would require sending His only begotten Son to earth to redeem and reconcile all of creation back to Himself, by way of taking upon Himself (the Son) the past, present and future sins of all mankind. That is exactly what He did. Christ did it once for all time for all people, we have all been washed clean by the shed blood of our older brother Jesus Christ. To believe and to teach otherwise makes null and void the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and at the same time makes God out to be a liar.

-Christ has been given all power and authority-

God is my Father, He is your Father and He is the Father of all of mankind. He is not about killing and destroying a part of Himself ( Which we all are) or as the Babylon of confusion would have us to believe. To have His children suffer untold torture and torment forever for trillions of trillions of years as Himself and His Son look on and get their jollies watching millions of his own creation twisting, turning and screaming out in agony and thirst; for even a little sip of water that will be denied them.

My Father is going to save me, He is going to save you and He is going to save all of mankind. Neither one, or none of us have anything at all to say about it. What the will of God has decreed will happen, nothing else, no other scenario should ever enter into a true believer’s mind. That is what Christ came to earth to accomplish and it is impossible for Him to fail; God didn’t create a Son to be known forever as Christ the loser, only able to save a few “good people”. He is Jesus Christ the Savior with all wisdom, power and knowledge and the ability to be doing His Fathers business.

-Choose this day whom you will follow-

Since this is my belief, and I realize it doesn’t have to be yours; what you believe and accept as the truth is between you and God only. I hope I don’t offend anyone to much by telling them this though, especially so if you fit into that category that I have talked about in this letter. I like my God better than your god; That is, what his ministers are feeding you; that you all feel he is teaching you to accept as the truth, and you seemingly do accept it. I do not and cannot accept much of anything your god has you accepting and believing as the truth, as I did at one time earlier in life. In contrast my God is able and capable of saving all, and He will do it. When I search the internet for spiritual wisdom and understanding; there are three things that will make me exit the site just as fast as I can click out of it, because to me it identifies the site as being of this present wicked world and not of God. Then too, any church that would be teaching the following deception as well, would apply.

-Finding the truth-

Number one, if they are in the marketing business and have trinkets galore for sale. Along with the trinkets they promote their own brand of touchy feelie religion and bible study books for sale. The Word of God says, freely we have received, freely we should give. Number two, if they make sure you know that their site has copyright protection to prevent one from copying it… I’m outta there! Number three, as soon as I see that they are tooth and nail against Universal Salvation, (God saving all) the truth of God, I know immediately they are preaching, teaching and believing a lie and also teaching it to many others to accept and believe as the truth of God. I am not searching for opinions or Christian fables; I am seeking and searching for the truth of God. Therefore, I move on and away from such websites and/or churches.

-The purpose of God will be established-

God can foresee the future and looking ahead He has this to say in. Isaiah 46:9-11 "Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'; Considering what God’s good pleasure is, that of reproducing Himself in mankind, should cause us to get busy and study the truth to show ourselves approved of God. Then in Titus 1: 2 is another truth to weigh in on. in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.

-The worst of the worst-

Now we get back to the apostle Paul and the controversy about the unpardonable sin. Paul is a spiritual hero to me and to many others. Paul had to step up and bite the bullet in one traumatic trial after another. Actually he was a regular Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein  combined and the absolute worst of the worst on planet earth. He was a murderer and a merciless persecutor of Christians. He would take them in chains to be thrown in the dungeon to die or never see daylight again in some cases. And yet the good news for everyone reading this paper, is to recognize, appreciate, and be exceptionally thankful for the inclusion of the life of Paul to be exposed in the true Word of God.

It is proof positive and allows us to see that our God will forgive all of those sins that Paul was guilty of, including "The Unpardonable Sin"  Again, I want to be sure and point this wonderful truth out to everyone whom God may lead to our website. We must at some point in time come to the real, true and proper understanding of the great patience and mercy that God has for all of His creation. He will not ever do away with even one of His offspring, or send even one to the Christian hell myth that they continue to expound upon all around this world, perpetuating a lie of monumental proportions. We all at some point will be required to resist the pull of Satan and follow the commandment of God in revelation 18:4, Come out of her, (The Babylon of confusion my people)

-Paul, The Apostle-

From "Crazed Destoyer of Christians" to Committed Christian Leader

Saul of Tarsus hated Christians. He made it his goal to capture, then bring Christians to public trial and execution. Saul was present when the first Christian martyr (named Stephen) was killed by an angry mob.

"... they all rushed at him (Stephen), dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. And Saul was there, giving approval to his death" (Acts 7.57 to 8:1).

After Stephen was martyred, Saul went door to door in Jerusalem finding people who believed that Jesus is the Messiah.

"Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison" (Acts 8:3).

After putting these people in prison, Saul learned about their Christian friends in Damascus by somehow getting letters from the prisoners. “I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison, as also the high priest and all the Council can testify. I even obtained letters from them to their brothers in Damascus, and went there to bring these people as prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished" (Acts 22:4-5). (end quote)

Now here is a person in Paul that called himself the worst of the worst. He was finally able to realize that no one could equal his own evil corruptibility, there was no one on earth as bad as Paul according to himself. He worked for, earned it and had the death penalty coming to him. The apostle Paul’s letters are the best news that anyone is able to look at and to be encouraged by. Like the cage fighters I watch on television of which a few have started in calling themselves, “the baddest man on the planet” It seems in his time Paul held that title himself. That is why it is such good news for all who have and still are struggling with life and the issues of what’s wrong and what’s right; and will I ever be allowed to belong to God’s kingdom. Looking at Paul’s life should help us all in believing and accepting as the truth of God; that He is going to save all of mankind, without any exceptions. But you may say, wait a minute, Paul was never guilty of the unforgivable sin and we all know that, that is the only sin that God will not forgive. OH! Is that right? Let’s see what Paul himself has to say about that.

-Paul speaks on the matter-

Although I was formerly a blasphemer, (What is this we have here, a little truth shed on the matter? a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 1Timothy 1:13… What does this do to the belief and teaching of an unpardonable sin? Especially so if we stop and consider that God is no respecter of persons. Will God only supply mercy to a few select people that turned good, by a roll of the big fuzzy dice? I don’t really have to have an answer on that, I speak as a fool. So my friends, and my brothers, in Christ and in truth, we no doubt couldn’t hold a candle to the wickedness and evil actions of the apostle Paul, no matter what we had done. He did so many unimaginable atrocities and sinned mightily against God before being struck blind on the road to Damascus; then adding to that he was even a blasphemer and still we know he will be saved and belong in God’s kingdom; none of us have to worry about making it also into the kingdom of God. I have done the best that I know to do in a short search for the truth in this matter.

I hope it might be helpful to some. Knowing that some among us here may be doubled over backwards loaded down with guilt; or in wondering whether or not we have gone over the line at some past experience in life, beyond the point of no return. I have studied the truth of God now for well over a half century, it has become my passion. According to the understanding that God has been revealing to me through those years, I can dogmatically assure you, no matter who you are, you will be saved. God promised that before the world began, read it here in Titus 1:2. I wanted you to know these things. The past, present and future cost for all of my sins; has been paid in full by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and yours has too. I will see you all on the other side. God became what we are, so that we may become what He is. And what is that you may ask? God the Father and His Son are righteous, immortal, spirit beings without any ending to their lives. We all will be as They are, with God the Father always being the supreme being. Having neither the beginning or the ending of days. God has always existed; Jesus Christ came out from our Father God as His firstborn of many brothers and sisters. All of us being those brothers and sisters.

Let me ask you a question here, why is it do you suppose that Paul obtained the mercy of God that he talked about in the last verse? Do you think it was just one of those days like we all have from time to time; God woke up that morning feeling exceptionally generous, so He just pardoned Paul because it gave Him a nice warm, fuzzy feeling? Hoping that Paul would keep it a secret to himself so others wouldn’t start expecting it to happen to them also? If God was reasoning things out in that way (Which He wasn’t) it didn’t work out as planned; the blasphemer of times past, Paul spilled the beans and told all of mankind the exact reason that God did what He did for him.

Read it for yourself so you will not have to ask your minister to explain it to you. 1 Timothy 1:16 But for this very reason I was shown mercy, (For what reason brother Paul?) so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience, as an example to those who would believe in Him (Ok, I believe I am beginning to understand now) for eternal life. Our Brother and High Priest Jesus Christ pardoned you, extended His mercy to you for blaspheming the Holy Spirit as an example to all of us that will follow after you, relieving our great anxiety at times; by letting us know that Christ has made the way clear by making provisions for all of mankind’s forgiveness of the same unpardonable sin that He removed the penalty of from you. However; it will happen in God’s time not ours. All will be forgiven after the thousand year rule of Christ here on earth. A time known as “The Great White Throne Judgment”.

-I rest my case-

Leith Cunningham

Post Script: 1st Corinthians 15:28; Then, when all things are under his ( Christ') authority, the Son will put himself under God's authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere. As other translations have it…. God the Father will then; be all, in all. Being all, in all doesn’t leave the slightest possibility that God will destroy forever or send even one person to a literal Christian contrived fiery hell; to suffer the wrath of God day and night forever. It also proves beyond any shadow of doubt about the truth I have shown you in this letter. The so called unpardonable sin will be forgiven all; at the great white throne judgement, allowing then for God the Father being ALL in ALL.That is what the Word of God says, why should we not believe it to be true?

Please feel free to peruse our website you are on here for more of the actual truth of God. We can be reached on www.thetruthstandsout.com or Google my name. Leith Lyman Cunningham. Jesus Christ became what we are ,so we will become as He is.
